Great for launching small boats, water is pretty clear also, so you can view marine life

I'm a lover of wildlife. The Mousa ferry collects passengers from this pier to take them over to the fantastic Mousa Brough. The Channel itself is a local hot spot for Minkie whales and porpoise as well as the occasional dolphin and (if you're very lucky) killer whales. Search my name on YouTube if you would like to see some of the footage I have captured from around Shetland.

Sandsayre Pier at Leebitten is an ideal place to sit and watch wildlife. Seabirds and seals are a common site. This is also the place to get the boat to Mousa. there are good views of Mousa and a nice short walk round to a nice seating area. I go hear on every visit to Shetland.

Trip to Moussa, Solan IV was excellent, the Skipper and crew could not have been more helpful or amusing!!The island itself is fantastic, whether visiting for bird watching, geology, history or just being out in a beautiful place.Well worth the cost of the ferry!!
