Brilliant day out there is so much to do here with the kids. From fairground rides, to pumpkin picking, little big creatures maize trail, neon spider quest, the witch and wizard school and food and drink bars. We went here Saturday and spent the full day here and thoroughly enjoyed our day. Highly recommend and definitely would return.

I was really excited to take my 18month old pumpkin picking but it wasn’t that great of an experience. We went to a twilight experience and arrived at 5:30. The parking was great but I didn’t realise it was a long walk to the festival, especially in so much mud! My LO needed to be carried about 3/4 of the way. Getting in was a breeze but it went more downhill from there. The mud was ridiculous, no effort was made to add more flooring to help with the risk of slipping. We 1st went to the neon spider thing but it wasn’t great, nothing really glowed and we experienced a power cut so had to be led out through an emergency exit.We then went to the toddler play park which my son LO really enjoyed especially the maze!We then went to the pumpkin patch, there was no wheelbarrows near so had to go back and get one, why they aren’t next to the pumpkin patch I won’t understand. The pumpkins definitely aren’t grown there, they must bulk buy them and place them there, which was really disappointing. The queues for food were beyond and all in mud, no idea where to buy marshmallows for the fire and no signs to say where to buy tokens for the rides. We also had to pay £2.50 each for the ride when my LO is only 18months old.I wouldn’t recommend it or go again unfortunately and glad my husband went to get the car at the end as you have to pass the entrance to get out.

Really well organised and laid out. All I’d say is not an awful lot of food selection and it was £££ for food. No kids meals available, but there is vegan options -helpful with a milk allergy child (although again, expensive)But other than that we had a lovely time and the kids really enjoyed it. Spent 4 hours here and could have probably spent longer.I’d advise going in the week in future so it’s a bit quieter! And if you can avoid bringing a pram I would although it is doable with a pram!

We had a fabulous day at Cardiff Pumpkin Festival yesterday. My 9-year-old and 4-year-old both had a fantastic time. We only paid extra for a couple of the rides as there was plenty to keep them occupied within the entry fee. The maize maze was a sure favourite and much bigger than I’d imagined with lovely installations dotted around. Other highlights included the neon spider quest and the very cute pumpkin patch playground for the little one. Adults had burgers for lunch (proper butchers burgers) and the kids had mac & cheese – huge portions! We luckily got to finish them off, super tasty! Hope to visit again over half term as it’s a very wholesome autumnal day out!

Excellent experience at the Pumpkin Festival; much improved on last year! Lots to do & plenty of space for everyone. Car parking was well organised & it was great to see temp. lights to help ease the traffic getting in and out. Could have improved the queues for food/ drinks by having more options but it was good to have the option of getting food/ drinks. Enjoyed the games although £2.50 a token was pretty expensive. If you were taking more than 1 child, it could be costly. Overall experience & vibe was great!

Cardiff pumpkin Festival was a fun day out, especially for the kids they loved it! Be prepared for a que to get in, we were waiting roughly 20 minutes in the que just to get in the grounds itself to park. At £10 per vehicle, it was a great price for entry. Sweets, teas and coffees were £3 each, donuts were like £6.50, Hot choclates were £3.50-£4 with Nutella etc, which I thought was a little expensive. Pumpkins again were a little expensive at £10 for an XL, £2 for a tiny one and prices ranging inbetween, considering you can just buy a large one from the supermarket for £2, although you don't get the experience. They provided wheel barrows to take your pumpkins to your vehicle. Everything was VERY muddy, so definitely wear wheelies, warm clothes and take a change of clothing too. Couple of rides there, which were £3 per person. The grab a duck was £5 per go, which I thought was absolutely shocking, considering majority of the prizes were cheap £1 items. The neon spider quest, was built great, as a walk through, but was very underwhelming inside. Literally just a couple of fake spiders on the walls and a smoke machine. The acts I watched on stage, (fire dancer and salom sisters) were very good, one of the best bits in my opinion. Overall for a first year, it was pretty good. I would say there is alot that needs improving, mainly the mud, the neon spider quest and maybe adding abit more as we stayed around 2 hours and we pretty much done everything there was to offer, but for the price I would definitely recommend for a nice few hours out!

It was our time visiting a pumpkin festival and we loved the experience. We attended the twilight festival. There was enough to keep us and the children busy ! The lights and decorations were fab! The food choices were delicious. It was very muddy but we were pre warned of this so came fully prepared and to be honest it added to the fun. There were wheelbarrows to help transport the pumpkins that we had picked we even used the wheelbarrow for our youngest (3years old) to sit in because it was far too muddy for us to take the pram. The only not so positive comment I have to make is the cost. It was a very expensive night. We spent around £36 on 5 pumpkins- 1large and 4 medium which when we got home we realised one was actually a small not a medium. The food and drinks were pricey (£8.50 for a burger, £7 for a small gravy and fries, £2.50 for a fruit shoot) rides weren't too bad at £2.50-£3 a ride also spent £5 for a balloon. They also accept card or cash which was helpful. This being said there is a way to keep cost down and plenty to enjoy without spending much money.Overall we enjoyed our visit and would recommend the experience to others!

Overpriced and overall very underwhelming experience. Definitely won't be back. The zombie apocalypse was a maximum of 4 minutes long and the que was OVER AND HOUR. We stood there in the pissing down rain and cold just left guessing when our turn would come. When it did come the actor jumped behind my friend pushing her and her phone fell onto the floor and cracked. They aren't allowed to touch you but he accidentally pushed her causing her phone to break. Food was alright, probably the best part but again very very overpriced

My husband and I took our 5 year old daughter, and we all had a great time. There was plenty to see and do, including a maze in a corn field, fairground rides, food stalls and of course, picking pumpkins from choices of different colours, shapes and sizes. Would definitely go again if we had the chance.
