BVCC run junior sections at the following age groups: U9 (soft-ball friendlies only) plus U11, 13 & 15 who all compete in the Bradford Junior League. Our philosophy is to be competitive and to play within the spirit of cricket. We aim to teach skills, encourage new friendships, promote teamwork and pass on the unique enjoyment of the game of cricket. Most of the coaches are current players and all are volunteers; our subs are deliberately kept low to encourage all who wish to play with discounts for second children plus all the club’s funds go into improving the facilities which are amongst the best in Bradford. We do not subsidise senior cricket with your money. The club has a twin-lane artificial practice area plus a dedicated grass wicket for junior practice. We also have a bowling machine, catching net and other training aids to make training varied, fun and safe in a high quality environment. All training and match day equipment is provided by the club so playing cricket need not be expensive. The club is family focused and has many social events throughout the year.We have a beautiful ground – a hidden gem tucked away for you to enjoy – and encourage all the family to come and watch the games. As a parent you will find a very warm welcome at the club, good people and a cold beer if you wish.We welcome new members and also work with several local primary schools delivering the English Cricket Board’s flagship Chance to Shine Scheme. This summer we are working with Blakehill, Low Ash, St Francis and Wellington primaries promoting cricket in the state school sector. New partnerships are always welcomed.Come and find us and if you need further information not contained here
