Drive Taxis York

Prebooked a taxi and after waiting 40 mins after time I booked for they decided to cancel without a reason why, leaving me stuck waiting for another to pick up during the busiest time of the day, won’t be using these again as it it’s the first time they have cancelled without reason.

I pre-booked a taxi from my office on hospital fields road to arrive for quarter past 3. The app told me they were assigning a driver from about 3, but nobody turned up and I received no updates. I wasn’t sure if someone was on their way, so I thought I'd call. The call was picked up quickly which was good, but I felt the person I spoke to was quite dismissive and wanted me off the phone. I was just told someone was nearby. Nobody turned up so I called again just for an eta as it was starting to get tight for my train. I was transferred to dispatch and put on hold for 15 mins, at which point i hung up as I’d not make the train and felt it best to book elsewhere. I didn’t get a confirmation someone was actually sent until around 20 to 4 and even then there would be some time until they arrived.I completely get timings can’t always be exact and accidents happen, but I did try to factor a good 20 mind of lateness into the booking and it felt like no cars were actually sent for me. I missed my train due to this and I’m fortunate enough to have been able to rearrange, but it could have been really difficult especially with reduced rail services the next day. Just as feedback please review if the online booking system works well and bookings go through fine with regular updates. I’d be reluctant to pre book again. Thank you

Absolute disgrace of a company. Supposed to be a local taxi firm and it couldn't be further from it! Unreliable, don't show up, even after prebooking at 2pm! Annoyed doesn't cut it. Have had a problem every single time have ordered with them. Also VERY reluctant to take card payments which is very concerning and inconvenient. Definitely won't use again.

Pre-booked a taxi 3 hours before I wanted it, got a text message confirming the correct time and location.Said time came, but no taxi. Waited 10mins after said time to call, as you know, it's a Friday night in party season and it could be running late.Call handler told me no taxis until at least 7pm, half hour after pre-booked time. I pointed out that I had pre-booked 3 hours earlier, his response was 'as you're out in the sticks, there's no taxis in the area, and they're all self employed, so we can't force them to take the bookings'First of all, I don't live 'out in the sticks' and secondly, why take a pre-book if you can't guarantee a taxi will turn up, and without warning me!The whole reason for a pre-book, so you're guaranteed a taxi and you're not late to said event.Absolute joke.Avoid this firm if you're looking to pre-book a taxi.I always go Streamline first as they've never let me down, but they had nothing at the time I wanted. At least I know not to try Drive in future!

I book the taxi and the company send me a message to prepaid the taxi so I prepaid through the airpay or something like that my fare was £9.90 and they took from the bank £10.20 I call the office and they said that is a £0.30 extra charge because I had paid through the ling they send to me. I told her that when I was making the payment was not where to see about that charge when i have make the prepayment and she say she don't know, and I should make the payment on the taxi with the card for no extra charges.Hiding charges are not good. Customers should know this before prepaid.I order lots of taxis everyday in the hotel I work but will be the last time I call 659659. Sorry your lost

Being told when trying to book a taxi for my friend in a wheelchair that ' people like that need to book further in advance' doesn't exactly follow your company motto..'Friendly & Professional ServiceCourteous drivers going that extra mile'What an absolute disgrace of a company.

Saved by Drive Taxis!We had a very special occasion to get to last summer but the trains were cancelled as of trespassers!We were 6 of us in real trouble but luckily we all made it to Harrogate in time!THANKS TO DRIVE TAXIS!!!The driver was like F1 Lewis H!
