Children’s Occupational Therapy Buckinghamshire

My son was seen by Dimitra for an assessment when we couldn't work out how to support him. She was phenomenal! She engaged him in the activities for an extended time which in itself is a challenge for our son, helped him self-regulate throughout and was able to explain to us clearly the different results of the assessment. We left not just with an understanding of what our son was struggling with specifically but also a wider understanding of the sensory systems which has helped us as he develops and presents with new sensory behaviours.The report that followed was thorough, professional and provided clear guidance for support going forward. The report helped identify areas of weakness and also his strengths which we really valued as parents. We were able to use the report alongside other professional reports to secure a thorough EHCP.We have had on going contact with Rachel who has shown us self regulation methods, supported developing needs and continued to educate us as gaps in our knowledge become more prevalent.I cannot recommend this team enough. Professional, approachable, kind and knowledgeable with a clear passion for supporting children and their families to be able to access daily life to the best of their abilities.
