Christ Church Liverpool (Sunday Morning/Evening Venue)

I've been attending Christ Church Liverpool for the last 5 1/2 years and I can honestly say the community is wonderful. Everyone is so welcoming and I remember feeling really at home here when I first arrived!

My first impressionIt was my second visit to any church in Liverpool since my move from Southampton and looking for a new church here. There were two people as I entered the building and after a polite “hello”, the lady mentioned about the English rugby sweatshirt I was wearing. The man then talked to me for about 5 minutes or so and made me feel quite welcome. We talked about football until I said that I was from Southampton and was looking for a church here – overall, the welcome was good, but asking more about me as a person and where I was from would have been nice…. Everyone can tell from my accent that I’m not from this area and I’m far too old to be a student! :)The service was good, a great mixture of old and new songs. Being Easter Sunday, it was a mixed family service, with the young children staying for the whole meeting. This was good with sound and interesting bible teaching throughout. After the meeting, I talked to two other people and was invited to share my contact details at the welcome point. I also enjoyed a nice cup of coffee! The people I talked to seemed genuinely interest in talking to me and with what I had to say.Overall, the church is Christ focused and I did enjoy the service and am looking forward to visiting again for a “normal” service.This is a true and honest review about how I felt today. I will come back sometime, as I always visit a church at least twice when looking for a new spiritual home.Welcome – 3.5/5Atmosphere – 3.5/5 it would have been nice if someone had sat next to me or talked to me during the appropriate times during the service.Message – 4/5 never top marks as we can always be better

Some of the church go'ers can appear to be very distant from you socially at that church.They tend to be very formal most of the time, pretty much mostly interested in people who are already christian's.They are not particularly very evangelical,there are some good points too they can be welcoming, there are lots of people to talk to and they have good sermons.However I often feel like I am just tolerated and not particularly wanted.So in my opinion as a non christian I would have to give it a low score because for me there are alot of bad points unfortunately.It does have huge potential as a church but it is not a church were they would keenly follow up or catch up with non christian's.Their weakness is not having an active genuine interest in certain people including non christian's.

I am impressed by how intentional this church is... everything they do is driven by a central mission and is very vision-oriented. Good for people across the spectrum, whether you are exploring Christianity for the first time or have been a believer for many years

I moved to Liverpool temporarily and found amazing community at this church. It has a great young adult group and many ways to get connected with friendly people.

Really welcoming lovely church, perfect if you want to find out more about the gospel!

Relaxed, family friendly church with modern music, clear Bible teaching and people from all walks of life, plenty of nationalities and Bibles in multiple languages. Very accessible if you've never been to church before this is a great place for you and if you're new to Liverpool you will find friends here.

Great community, really friendly and excellent children’s work. There are excellent activities and fun for children to join in with. I’d definitely recommend if you have children and want to join a friendly and safe community

Hi, how about knocking on doors in the local community and inviting people to the church? And, or at least posting gospel tracts so local people arnt ignorant of the salvation the gospel offers? You can get tracts delivered f.o.c to yourselves to outreach with.
