A great taste of Syrian pastries, baklava and savouries tucked away on the side of Coventry Road. Only noticed this little gem while parking the car on the side street and having a sweet tooth couldn't help it from just having a browse. The gentleman on the counter was giving all sorts of sweets and treats to taste and explaining that everything on sale is hand crafted and made inhouse. It truly is one of it's kind in the region and top of my list for Syrian sweets

Went there with my friends as was craving burak, cheese pides and manakeesh! This place is definitely the place to go. Their food was fresh and warm. I ordered some the next day for my party and everyone loved them. Try the mini pizza and the spinach pide.

I have been coming to Sysweets regularly since they opened. Always super impressed with the quality and diversity of the sweets here. I order them every time myself or my family have a celebration and I always get the same comment from guests “Best Baklawa I’ve had in the UK”The people working here are very friendly and try to go the extra mile when ordering with themTheir prices are pretty good and well worth it for the sweets we order. I’d definitely recommend this place highly for anyone wanting to try proper Arabic authentic bites

I have visited Syria twice, once in 2009 and once a few months ago. This place is the most AUTHENTIC in Birmingham if not the UK, amazing perfect Manaaesh, fatayer and sweets, do not give this one a miss, it is an amazing shop with amazing hsopitality.

Amazing value for money with outstanding customer service. I was even offered a discount for buying in bulk and was allowed to taste the sweets before buying them. Staff were hard-working and freshly made everything I ordered. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I tried the meat manakish along with some of the pastries and I have to say the manakish is one of the best things I have ever eaten. It was freshly made and just divine and a bargain too at £3. The pastries were also tasty. Customer service was excellent and they sorted everything out for me just the way i wanted. The actual shop is quite small and can be awkward for a woman if there are men standing inside. But other than that, I will visit again inshaAllah
