It's a beautiful place to wander and feel in touch with nature as you walk through fields and wooded areas, with many dog walkers and runners. Also plenty of little play parks for kidsThere is a dog washing facility (payment required)There are some bridle paths around, so certain areas will need dogs on leads which will have plenty of signage saying so.There are a few signs warning you of ticks, so make sure you check for them once you leave! No BBQs are allowed at present (July 2023) due to the risk of fire spreading, but there are plenty of picnic benches aroundGo Ape looks fantastic, with the tree top courses and an axe-throwing activity

Great place to enjoy walking around, tracks that take you around a large area of open fields, pass over the river itchen, see fish swimming, butterflies, dragonflies and birds in abundance. Plenty of play space for kids of all ages. There is carparking to pay. I live local so opted to walk from my home about a mile & half away.

Amazing, if you're looking for a country park in a valley near the River Itchen, then this is the place for you! It's got trees and leaves and loads of other naturey things n that. I even saw a bird there once. Magical.

Parking great. Very wet under foot but well organised. Dog wash extortionate!! £4 more than parking. No other options for just a hose down very disappointing. Especially if you have four dogs

Whilst it's absolutely fine for a brief visit, the play trail is very short, the main big playground by GoApe is beginning to look a bit tired and there's no shade. The play area by the cafe is currently under construction. The new cafe is a huge improvement.

Visited the Halloween trail with 3 grandchildren. It was very disappointing. The directions were non existent and map was unhelpful and we spent a lot of time on the wrong track. Very few spooky witches, skeletons etc. Last year was much better.

Great country park with plenty to do for children and walks for dogs. The car park charges are reasonable too, especially all day. The cafe isn't large, but the food is good and everything is kept clean with plenty of space inside and out to sit. We aren't local, but we go here quite often when visiting and have used the Go Ape on a number of occasions. Would recommend.

Lots of lovely trails to follow through the woods and a cross the fields. Plenty of parking at a fair price. Nice restaurants to get food and a dog wash which was needed the day we visited.

There's plenty of parking (I went on a Saturday about 11.30am) and the parking prices weren't too bad considering the park was free to enter other than that.We walked around the brown trail but it wasn't obvious where to start from and I think we went the wrong way. There wasn't many posts on the way round to show you were on the right track. The main field area next to the car park was nice and spacious and there's a little playground there if you're taking kids, plus plenty of benches to sit down at.The only disappointing bits were the lack of decent signage about where to start walks and posts showing you are on the right track and that they advertise a river walk on all the signs but it seems you can't do that anymore. Also there is no real path for the meadow walk and the first bridge we came to was questionable to cross on that trail.Overall it was a nice walk, even though we got a bit lost, and we would go again.

Had a day fishing this amazing chalk stream and wasn't disappointed. The River Itchen was perfect as was the weather.I started out getting broken up a few times because I underestimated the power of the wild Brown Trout , we caught plenty of Trout and after moving to another swim we started to catch Grayling! .I live around the corner from Grayling road in North London and this has been quite testing to say the least !!! .Me and my mate John Weedon had a very memorable day and would highly recommend the Lower Itchen fishery.Btw the smell of the pine forest is incredible.
