I went to Friargate Antiques to in search of a box in which to present a special gift, but due to my own miscalculations arrived just as they had closed. Despite this, the owners kindly let me in and went out of their way to help me find exactly what I needed, for which I am extremely grateful.Aside from the excellent service, the shop was a brilliant treasure trove and had I arrived earlier in the day I would have spent ages exploring!

The other Saturday we called in at Friargate antiques on the off chance of picking up and buying some old coins that we needed in order to test a coin operated mechanism on a 1960's Jukebox.The owners stopped what they were doing and emptied bags of coins out putting together a range of English and American coins from the past.When we asked how much do we owe, the reply was nothing
