Harmers wood is a wonderful little treasure in the heart of the Cheshire countryside with good views over to the Mersey estuary.

It's an amazing place. A great cliff face on what I guess was an old quarry. Some guys there doing bouldering up to about 10 metres high? I never knew it existed. So pleased I do now!!

Nice small bit of woodland with nice paths. Be a good spot for a run, or dog walk, or run with dog. Horses in field adjacent. Lots of oak, rowan, etc. 20 minute walk from Helsby Hill, which offers an exceptional panorama over the North West, River Mersey, and into Wales.

Nice area, perfect for a short hike to Helsby Hill. Car park isn't really a car park, just room for a small number of cars on the side of the road and many people aren't considerate with their parking. Quite slippery when it is icy, and can be muddy in the area so wear appropriate footwear and maybe avoid after heavy rainfall.

Lovely secluded woodland walk towards the top of helsby hill. Not large but peaceful and not overly known about so nice and quiet.

Nice area to wander around in. Doesn't seem super popular for climbing, needs quite a bit of love to bring it backs to its prime.

Bit steep in places but the view is worth the effort

Small wooded space. Many of the trees are dead and are left to rot naturally. Hopefully plans to plant new ones. Small car park. Tiny infact. Has three quaries with one one of them used for rock climbing for youngsters. Nice to have it around locally but not worth driving to it as the main attraction. Could go round in 20 mins easy.
