I stayed with a couple of my friends and we had a private booking, we all really enjoyed our stay here :)Very warm and welcoming staff, the Atmosphere is super friendly and homely as well. Sure, everything might be a bit old but it's neatly decorated and properly cleaned, everything works as intended and I felt comfortable living here. Location is perfect, close to the City Center and nearby sights, as well as to the train station and the ferry.Rooms and bathrooms are clean and fairly nice and the free breakfast is a big plus. Will definitely be staying here again if I ever return to Plymouth.

The room was clean, shower worked well and the bed was comfy. There was nice free breakfast with a variety of cereals in the morning and free beverages throughout the day. James and Karen were really helpful and made sure that everything was alright for us. Overall, a very good experience

Clean beds, good location, great price. Spacious common areas.Very friendly and helpful staff. They were happy to hold my suitcase and hand it to the postman to be shipped home while I was away.Breakfast is toast, cereal, coffee, tea and juice, but it's included in the already low price.Overall, I am happy with my stay here, and will be back next time I'm in Plymouth.15-20 min walk from train station. If you're looking to explore Cornwall on a budget, this is a great place to do it from.

For £23/night, 10/10.Quaint little hostel and the staff run a tight ship. I came here for a couple nights to take a break from the weather during a camping trip. I arrived early and was very grateful to be allowed to leave my luggage in the staff area while I walked around town, waiting for my room to be available.Once I arrived, I was given a helpful tour. I had all the instructions I needed to make my stay. The communal area is very welcoming and carries a calm atmosphere at all times of the day. Brilliant for taking a load off and relaxing. There is plenty of space to put your own food in the dining area and even bins for yourself to label your name on. Lovely. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean, there was a table to sit at in the room, a towel comes for free, and there were plenty of places to plug in my devices.Cautions:The laundry is clean but the detergent leaves a very strong scent. If you like hot, hot showers, that isn't gonna happen here. The shower water stayed lukewarm -but it wasn't uncomfortable to shower in. A fine temperature for a fine shower. The shower stream is also very powerful (which is great to clean you well as a backpacker!) -but the water can be a bit of a bother for those with sensitive skin. The rooms are not wheelchair accessible.

4,6, Just wonderfully kind people, retired recommend staying here whether it's one person a couple of you in a male or female dormitory or if that does not suit then they have private rooms the people are polite and kind and friendly even go out of their way plus there's tea and coffee etc on tap and total 11 o'clock at night it's in a good location near town but not too close as well as not too far away from parks and a marina for sightseeing etc as you do get some people from a board staying whether it's one person or a family or work colleagues or a group of school children etc or college youngsters there is parking outside however not much sometimes depending on how many people stay but you should be okay to park their if not just around the corner would be fine, anyway it's warm and cozy friendly and reasonably priced would highly recommend it

I found myself unexpectedly stuck in Plymouth for the night on account of the train strikes and found this little place for £28 for the night. Staff were really helpful, beds were surprisingly comfy. Only downside was the flush on the toilet was very loud and did wake me up a few times when my roommates for the night used it.But for a bed and a roof over your head for the night, you can’t really go wrong with this place.

Karen and James are absolutely lovely, beds and rooms were clean and we got extra towels. Also free breakfast with cereals, toast, tea and coffee, got our laundry washed and folded for only a few pounds as well. We felt super comfortable in the hostel and with the staff and had an amazing time! Such a cute stay and so cozy...can't wait to be back soon, highly recommend!!:)
