Evans Cycles - Victoria

Unprofessional staff - Amelia is not trained at all and doesn't have any knowledge about cycle and accessories. When asked about cycle accessories she said 'I have not used it for my cycle and hence have no idea' for every single thing. Please train her properly before leaving her to handle customers. She is misleading because when I asked the specific model she said they don't have in the store but was present just next to her. Peter was good and friendly. This store lacks resources and need more knowledgeable people. This is a new store and it's spacious to try and ride new bikes inside.

A word of warning from this branch, poor service in the cycle dept, each time i bring in the bike for 6 week service told 2 hour wait. Useless trying to book advance as they never pick up the phone, tried all the Evan's store same story nobody picks up the phone. The company slogan may as well read, 'on yer bike' will now have to pay private company to provide the service i was promised after spending £400 on a bike. Not immpressed at all with service, please help

Harold is a saint, on a quiet Sunday late afternoon fixed my crank arm in minutes -wouldn’t even let me tip him a drink! Changed my initial perception of a larger chain, epic service :D I’ll be back.

Been going to this bike shop since they opened last year May. On the contrary to some reviews here, this store has really helpful staff members who will always try to accommodate your needs as much as they physically can. Ferenc their mechanic is always super helpful and I had him service my bike several times even when he was still in Evans Westbourne Grove. When I needed something quick done, he tries to find time to get it done even when he is fully booked. Considering that it is the only bike shop in Westminster, with only one mechanic, I do not mind waiting 3 or 4 hours or even a day especially when I do not even have a booking made!I think the thing people fail to see is that it is not like a dentist appointment where you come and your bike gets done then and there.You do not come to a petrol station and grab the pump from someone using it. You wait. There are jobs that are being done throughout the week that take longer and bikes also come in for the week. From my experience, the turnover here is quicker than bigger bike shops that would have 2-4 mechanics!

Worst experience ever. No notice that the bike repair guy wasn’t going to be there for my appointment. And no one on hand to assist or helpMe book another appointment. Never using Evans again

Good stock of bikes, extremely helpful staff !! Happy to explain to complete novice the complexities of road bikes and assistance with identifying the correct size/reach for me. Very thankful to Peter for his knowledge on helping me choose the right bike!

Thankfully Evans are back in Victoria again and with a much larger and useful floorspace than before! They are squirelled away on the top floor of the House of Frazer and only noticeable by the small service promotional banner downstairs. So at last spares repairs and bikes nearby. Always found staff at the Evans outlets knowledgable and helpful.

Replaced parts all fine and quickly, but my front light was not on my bike when I picked it up.Either stolen by someone in the store or misplaced by staff - either way really annoying!

A short (black hair) male staff was very rude when we went in the store. I think he just had an early judgement which should not do. I really didn't want to buy anything at that store but my husband has tried to be nice and polite. ... They need more training.
