My wife and I went to your weavers mill yesterday and my 1st complaint is the length of the queue at the bar when we arrived. There was only 2 girls serving and to be fair to them they were trying to keep on top of things but we had a wait before getting our table. Once seated, I had to join the back of the queue to order a drink. Had I known, I'd have ordered drinks when we first went in. Then to order our meals, it was to the back of the queue again. We had a half hour wait for our starters and when my wife's came, it was the wrong starter which went back to the kitchen and there was another wait for the right one to come, by which time I'd finished mine so we weren't eating together. Then the next wait was for our mains. We complained to a waitress that we had waited 1 hour and 20 minutes since arriving and we're still waiting for our mains. She was very polite and very apologetic and said she'd chase up the kitchen. Our meals eventually arrived an hour and a half since arriving by which time we were fed up and had lost our appetite. The food itself was tasty but as we had list our appetite, we got it put in a box to go.We did recieve a bottle of wine as an apology but still not good enough.Totally unacceptable and I can't see us returning and I shall be telling family and friends of my experience.Any compensation you feel appropriate will be welcomed. We have since had a standard reply to phone and contact the manager to attempt to rectify our disappointment. We have phoned 3 times now, never got a reply anytime, left messages but no one has replied.Just justifies our poor review of this restaurant.Don't go!!!

Monday evening, 23rd October - reasonably quiet - about a dozen tables filled, 45 minutes after ordering starters still haven’t arrived. Heating isn’t working either. If we hadn’t paid up front we’d be walking out.UPDATE - now 55 minutes after ordering lovely waitress comes to apologise they’ve messed up our order!

Nice big place with friendly staff. Was showing the local ice-hockey game on the TVs which is a bonus. Kids soft play in the back costing £3 for the duration you are there for. Main meal was okay. Chips was on the cold side when received a garnish or coleslaw would have also been nice with the burger. Kids main was okay aswell

I always try and find the positives in all places I visit, but I am struggling at this location.Arrived at the hotel early and so decided to grab a drink and do some work. After 15 minutes waiting at an empty bar, ( no staff anywhere to be seen) eventually was served. No opology for any delay and couldn't look more disinterested.Cleanliness needs some attention, everywhere is sticky, from the floor to the tables, I eventually decided it was cleaner to go to my room.On my return for the evening meal, chose my table admittedly one of the rounded tables for comfort, dirty plates and drink still on the table, ordered my food from a lovely server, still plates left, let's see how long it takes.20 mins food has arrived good, looks apertising so happy. Server placed plate down and has walked away not removing dirty plates bad, very bad. No cutlery provided so taken put of the last customers supply.Food was good and well proportioned as you can see from images along with dirty dishes still left.Let's see when I get my dessert whether they clear the table? I give it a 50/50 chance at present.Well my plate taken and others still left, wow what can you say? Beginning to wonder if these are some sort of art display and I'm missing somethingDessert delivered and again the left plates now titled will no one eat me" art work remains undisturbed. As customers we don't expect much

Stayed at the Premier Inn next door. Went to get supper at the Weavers Inn. They had obviously been busy as there were no cleared tables. Sat down and used the app to order which was fine. Our main course arrived before our starter and we had to ask the waitress for our drinks as they had not arrived either. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Very pleasantThe following day we had breakfast which was lovely. The coffee in the flasks wasnt too hot but then again I dont drink quick so it did get cold. It was also very dark for breakfast service I thought. That night we dined elsewhere but went back for the evening for drinks. The app was dodgy because of poor signal but did work sometimes. The staff were great apart from 1 lady who was almost hostile towards us. Slammed drinks down on the table and snapped at us. She took an immediate dislike to us that night and the following morning at breakfast. While being nice and pleasant to other customers. It was awful.Would not recommend this place if she is on shift in case she doesnt like the look of you."

I was stopping in the nearby Premier Inn on business for one night. I decided to dine in the Weavers Mill. My food was ordered at 19.20 and didn't arrive until 20.35. The pub wasn't busy and I'm sure if I hadn't asked where my food order was I'd have been forgotten. I ordered 8oz Sirloin steak on a skillet. When it finally arrived it looked thrown together, the fries were hard, too many sloppy onions on the plate which I threw away. The steak was OK. Although the staff were very polite and friendly I would not use this pub again.Very disappointed with the food.

Nipped in for a quick snack after the ice-hockey. I imagine this is what a prison canteen must be like. Sat in a dingy, dark area with no redeeming features (unless you count the dustpan and brush abandoned on the next table which, judging by the state of the floor, doesn't get much use). Service was reasonably quick and friendly. Food was abysmal. Halloumi fries (name corrected after reply) were tiny and flaky. Nachos were completely bizarre; huge puffed up lumps of pasty with a chewy mound of cheese and a revolting sauce thrown over them. Almost inedible. The whole thing was unbelievably dreary. First and last visit.

And then there was the Dodo, extinct because it was easy to catch, tasted better than chicken. This place could offer so much, it could be so good. But it's not. I don't think they be have ever put the heating on when I was there. It's cheap but the sparkle ends there. Maybe it to will take on the features of a dodo.

Booked a table online as staying in hotel next door. Arrived at restaurant at 1825 for 1830 booking. Big sign saying please weight to be seated. Another couple were waiting and advised they had been waiting for 10 minutes. Large Q at bar, only one person serving, seen 2 people bringing meals. No-one approached and we waited another 10 mins. A diner who was sitting at a table to tell us that you don’t wait to be seated, you just find a table, but if you’ve booked to go and look for your table! There were pieces of paper with names and times on the table. Still no members of staff approached or welcomed us to advise what to do. The queue at the bar was still very long and it hadn’t moved in 20 minutes. We then left without eating as it was shambolic, the table was sticky, the 2 members of staff we seen, I think they were staff as the were carrying meals, no identification noted or anything to suggest they were staff, were miserable. We ended up in a fast food restaurant, not the dinner we expected before going out to a birthday party. In the morning there was no way we would entertain the restaurant for breakfast given the previous night’s experience therefore a fast food restaurant breakfast was what we were left with. To answer your question at the top, 1. You did nothing great, nothing even to the level of good. The restaurant looked grubby, very poor service, well no service really, poor signage and a real disappointment. What could you improve on? Everything

First time visiting this week with a group. I had the macaroni cheese with garlic bread. Which was delicious. The portion was slightly on the small side. Then I had the Chocolate fudge cake. Which was delicious. The portion was amazing. Would definitely come back again. Location is good. Close by to the main road. And to Camperdown Park. The interior is quite dark lighting. Didn't dampen the food experience.
