I went for a colour and cut. The colour seemed reasonable but my cut was not what I asked for and it certainly wasn't very good. Apparently I made the mistake of telling my hair cutter what I required when I should have asked the manager to translate for me. I wish I'd known that before the scissors got going! In fairness the manager offered to finish the cut as I wanted but I was eager to leave. I won't return.

Cant recommend Zara Hair Petts Wood enough I attend nearly every week to have my hair styled and always happy. I also have waxing which is carried out professionally and promptly and always so fast. Thankyou Zara and Team

I have visited this place on around 6 different occasions starting from around September 2018 to the date of this review.The first few visits were great, the barber seemed to know what he was doing and understood my requirements very well - I felt at ease. This was a great place to visit if you wanted a decent hair cut for a decent price but that all changed... I would say the quality of the hair cut (and bear trim/shape up) dropped significantly around November/December of 2018.There have been a couple of new barbers at this place and with each new barber the quality of the cut has been dropping gradually. The last time I visited this place I was very unhappy with the haircut but was not bothered enough to change barbers or leave a review - this was around December/January.I visited today hoping the cut would improve and to give the place a second chance. I left the place today feeling great but once I got home, washed my hair and had a proper look at the cut I realised just how bad it was. It was almost like the entire left side of my head was uncut minus the sideburns. I also always ask for a shape up on the beard too however I feel like the barber has no idea how to do this properly since he always uses the machine to cut and I have to constantly prompt the barber as to how I would like the beard to look which is not something I have had to do at any other place I have been to. So at this stage the beard and the haircut are pretty bad - I regret trying this place for a second time.I had to immediately go and visit another barber on the same street to get this resolved. The barber at this other barber also confirmed my assessment on the cut and thankfully was able to clean up the mess.I spent nearly £40 trying to get my hair cut today thanks to this place.The only reason I am giving this place two stars instead of one is because management seems great but there is obviously an issue in getting quality barbers to stay here.Suffice to say I will not be trying this place again since they have now lost my trust.

Worst haircut I have ever had. Going straight to a decent salon to see what I can get done with it now it has been completely ruined. Do not go here. I have been using salons of all price ranges for 40.odd years and this is the absolute worst cut ever and it is certainly not the most difficult haircut I have had. Absolutely awful. Dont expect the place to last long.

Hubby who has a short wedge hair style went in and asked for a scissor cut on top with a number one around the edges..................barber start the number one clippers at the front of his head??? which one done was unable to rectify, hence leaving with a no1 all over!!!! The barber did not understand or listen. and then hubby paid for the worse hair cutever...........would not recommend! Don't want to give the one star however you need to give a staff to post review:(

It is a nice place, I have been there a couple of times, the owner is very nice and welcoming. The prices are nice. What I don't like is that every time I went there a different barber cut my hair. Not that the haircuts were bad, but I like to know the guy for some time. Otherwise, I get the impression people tend to quit a lot there

Was able to book a super last min ( 15mins away) appointment off of treatwell. On treatwell the shop has good reviews, on Google not so much, so not sure why the difference. Was able to get a quick dry cut, just to freshen up my hair. Not many places offer that option anymore so was pleased with that. Could also pay on treatwell prior so meant I was in and out super quickly, which is what I needed. Staff were very friendly.

Booked over the phone for a hair wash and restyle . The cut was quick and fab .Extremely happy with the results thank you , will definitely be back .Great staff as well.

Went here looking for a curly friendly haircut and was not disappointed! They don't publicly offer curly haircuts either so I wondered if I'd thrown a bit of a curveball at them, but they delivered. They gave good advice on what I should get, and the hairdresser was friendly and very fast! The hairdryer was really quite hot and I felt like it was burning my head a bit, but to be fair I didn't say anything, I'm sure if I had they'd have turned it down, so not removing a star for that. The owner was also super friendly and provided exceptional customer service. Thanks!

Booked on treatwell for a full head of highlights and cut, wash and blow-dry. Super happy with the results thank you so so much, will definitely be back and stick to this hairdresser's now! My hairs a bit tricky as I have a reddish tint and it can be brassy at times but the colour is beautiful, they added toner and made sure I was happy with it and confident. I was well looked after with water and teas and everyone was so honest, welcoming and friendly, such a great experience and over the moon with my new hair! :) Just what I needed! Xx
