Acorn Hog Roast

I booked Acorn Hog Roast 18 months before my wedding. With just 3 months to go they cancelled on me leaving me with no catering for my wedding for the day of 100 guests. They are un-reliable, offered no other options to help, any other vendors etc. offered no compensation to which it has now cost be substantially more to book a hog roast company last minute. Caused stress as the amount of companies I then had to frantically call to find someone free for a summer wedding was a task in its self. Not even a phone call with an apology, a very short insincere email and didn’t even have the courtesy to email me back after I respondedDo not book, unreliable and could cause you stress in the long run when we all know as brides planning a wedding is already a stressful task as it is.The blow would have been a lot better if I’d have received a phone call and even offered to help us find another catering companyClearly do not care what the effect this has on peopleI had 3 months notice, I dread to think what would happen to brides if they cancel on the day due to illness or an emergency and clearly have no contingency plan

We would highly recommend Acorn Hog Roast, we hired them for our sons Christening garden party. The food was superb, fabulous portion sizes, excellent service extremely well organised with no mess, no hastel, completely stress free 5 star catering! Great value for money . Thank you x

Ridiculously good food from Shaun and his team at our wedding, so much so one of the lads went back five times! Easy to communicate with and fantastic on the day. The hogroast was great during the day and the burgers sorted the night right out.
