We had a full bungalow refurbishment carried out by this company and cannot over estimate how good the service was from from John ( J D Kent ) ...when we asked John to quote he spent a lot of time talking through our requirements and advising us on what works well ( and not) along with the technical elements associated with our work. Once we had confirmed he provided us a price and talked us through every element which we was more than happy with , They started on the agreed date and the work progressed really well as per Johns timescales and when we had problems ( through no fault of Johns) he worked with us to get the work back on track, the work was a really high standard and he was very tidy and at communicating through the various stages. We now have the our perfect bungalow completed to the highest standard and could not be happier,,,,no surprises or requests for extra money just exactly what we wanted ,,,we did add a few extras which he accommodated and was very reasonable with his costs .....brilliant value for money and excellent workmanship ,,,,,would recommend to anyone and everyone and more than willing to let people view our project to support our opinion and proof of the high standard ....really do recommend ....Lesley..

I don’t think I can recommend JDKent LTD highly enough. Jon is a true professional - trustworthy, with a keen eye for detail and exceptionally high standards.Having recently completed a full property renovation, with single-storey wrap-around extension, I couldn’t be happier with the results - Jon and his team have turned our cold, damp, drafty house into a warm, solidly-built home for us and our boys.We asked Jon for help right at the beginning of our project before we’d even had any plans drawn up. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to achieve but needed that sanity check to make sure we weren’t planning on anything daft. Jon gave us some really good pointers that we took through to our final plans.Once the plans had been created, we asked for a number of quotations from different companies to complete the work and manage the project. Jon’s was fairly priced, and including options for increasing/decreasing the scope of the work. It was clear, right at the beginning, that Jon was uncompromising on standards which was key for our project - we needed to feel that we could trust our builder.As work progressed, we were kept up to speed with developments and given good notice when approaching decision points. This was a ‘back to bare-bones’ project that required a complex balancing of different trades and services that Jon took full responsibility for.At various points throughout the build, although we tried not to be the ‘typical customer’ with changing requirements, inevitably there were situations when we needed to change tac slightly. Jon was always, without question, completely understanding and accommodated all of our needs.The final result, at a surface level, is everything we wanted and more. But, what I am most pleased about, are the things you don’t see - underneath the plaster are walls that have been built that exceed the required specs, floors, ceilings, and roofs that have been installed by experts, future proofed for longevity, well laid out services for gas, water and electrics, all meeting or exceeding the required standards. Jon and his team have created and rejuvenated a home we can now be extremely proud of, that has been given a new lease of life and has been built to last.

Jon undertook a kitchen remodelling project for us which included utility room construction, movement of the back door, removal if three load bearing walls and instillation of supporting steels. He linked with architect, kitchen fitters, and building regulation inspectors making the whole project stress free for us. The work was completed to a really high standard. The new wall construction outside looks as if it has been there for years and melds well with the surrounding structures. All the services such as electrics and plumbing for the kitchen fitters were all in the absolutely correct position. The internal work was excellent. Clearly Jon takes a real pride in his work. We would totally recommend his firm.

Jon did two extensions for us - he did a neat and tidy job - great quality for the stonework, looks really nice. Happy to recommend him. Started when he said he would, completed on time and on budget.

Jon has recently completed our extension and we are thrilled with the end result. From his initial quote and expert advice we hoped Jon and his team would be easy to work with and we were not disappointed. Jon project managed a lot of the build providing us with plasterers, roofers, joiners who have all been friendly and efficient in their trades. We couldn't recommend Jon enough if you are thinking of doing work to your home. We now have the house we've always wanted and are very grateful to have had an easy going, hard working guy on side.

Lovely job recently completed for me. The builders on site put in a lot of hard work to get the job done on time whilst maintaining quality workmanship.

Jon has just replaced our ageing conservatory with a stone extension to link through to our kitchen and has done a faultless job with the minimum of fuss. His team were on site early every day and and put in full days even in bad weather. We are really pleased with the finished product and would recommend Jon to anyone else looking for a reliable and experienced builder.
