Animal Krackers

My partner and I had a terrible experience with Animal Krackers and we left feeling judged and looked down upon.Basically, after searching online, we found a cat we'd be interested in. Now, we live close to the city centre and main roads so we wouldn't be letting the cat out, and if we were to, it would be in a controlled area. The cat we were looking at had no info about whether she was indoor or outdoor, so we decided to visit her and ask. The member of staff we saw was very rude to us. We explained the situation and she told us that every cat needs full outdoor access so we're not allowed to adopt from them. She then asked in a very judgemental tone whether we've even owned a cat before". We have. The thing is

I phoned this place to ask for help and all I got was belittled by the man, I have to remove my dogs as I have hundreds of hospital appointments for my disabled son and because when the man asked for money to donate I explained I didn't have any at the moment I got told that I apparently get fantastic" benefits for my son!!!! Which is not true

Lovely little charity shop ,full of busy...staff always helpful and loaded with excellent stock.What more could you want.Kev king

Animal Krackers is a wonderful animal shelter run by fabulous people that are truly passionate about animals and do everything they can to find homes for each and every pet. I would encourage anyone to adopt from here or volunteer their services to foster a pet if possible. I am shocked by the negative reviews!

Going through very tough time with parents getting a divorce and none of us being able to take our beloved dog with us, although this is very heartbreaking for all of us and it is not what we want to do. we decided to phone some rehoming charities to ask for advice. when we phoned we were greeted by a lovely woman who gave us a rehoming specialists number, when we phoned her we got a judgemental person who came across very rude, give us basic advice, and when we asked if we could contact her agin she told us there was nothing she could do.

If your going to ring the shop then your more than likely going to speak to a volunteer.someone who gives there time to assist in the shop to help the charity.all these moaners should volunteer themselves if they can do a better job.they get abuse every day in the shop and over the phone and still give there time.they all lovely people so give them a break !! Every animal is diffrent and mostly all have complex needs. They care thats why they dont give them to just anyone.thats a good thing surely.

This is a excellent animal rescue. They are genuine and kind. We have been able to rehome three cats from them over the years and can not thank them enough.

Got given funny looks from the owner when we asked about adopting a cat and was asked if I had ever even owned a cat in a condescending tone because I wanted an indoor cat. Owner clearly doesn't understand what she's talking about when jt comes to cats since she tried telling me that every one of their cats needs outdoor access just cause they were found outside.Also walked away from me mid conversation and ignored me when I tried saying something to her. Seems to stop caring about their potential customers if they think you shouldn't own a pet so don't bother. Better off supporting another charity
