William Hulme's Grammar School
Ex student here. This school was really great. They tried their best to give everyone best the opportunities for whatever course they wanted to do when they left. It's just the students that drag down the schools name down by being so rude for no reason. Making fun of kids that had nothing to do with them. It was annoying. Plus if you were not highly intelligent you will get bullied hard unless you were deemed to be funny" or rlly good at arts. Even the lowest sets are really bad. They don't really help the students to be honest. They treat them if there gonna fail and don't push them as much as the higher sets. All the sets in William Hulmes are not great to be honest. The higher set was always cocky and looked down on the lower ones to be honest. In maths especially."

My time at William hulme hasn’t been the best if honest I think it is highly overrated for no reason and at William Hulmes The teachers don’t care if you fail or pass also the type of students that are here are really annoying kids and they don’t like people who have learning difficulties the school is awful with bullying they just say ignore it . The teachers aren’t really good at teaching your lucky to get those teachers that can teach but it’s really rare . If you are not highly intelligent you will get bullied and even the lowest sets are really bad as all the sets in William Hulmes are not great to be honest . You rarely get any homework as my mum has complained several times to the school if you want to get the “high school experience “don’t come to this school you are lucky to get those couple of people exactly in your position but it’s rare and the school dinners are really bad a couple of wedges for £1.50 when I say couple I mean 3 wedges I could go on about how much I disliked my time at this school believe me don’t send your kids here it’s a a big mistake .Also it’s called a Grammar school when it isn’t anymore it’s an academy . Also they banned phones recently this school is very strict but with major incidents they are not like bullying, racism etc. Also in this school your stuff gets nicked al the time . It has been the worst 5 years of my life I beg anyone not to send their kids here there are much better schools out here

I’m a year 11 in this school and this place has many memories and history. There are experienced teachers and I’ve excelled in a lot of subjects with their help. Sets are in place to keep the students competitive and help them to aim for high ambitions. Highly recommended ☺️.

Worst school ever don't care about the children at all some members of staff nothing but bullies the way they speak to the children is disgusting seen it with my own eyes and head teacher doesn't care she is just as bad best thing I ever did remove my children from there they expect you as parents to remain silent don't like it when you challenge them. Tell the children when ofsted are in to be on there best behaviour haha joke of a place

I am mother of my daughter who attended Reception class here at Primary Phase i must say this school so far was THE BEST school she’s ever been to teachers encouraged her, welcomed her and made her feel the centre of the class. She use to love going to school made two besties was great; also my relationship with teachers where also good they’re good teachers/staff especially one who taught her forgot her name god bless her. For some reason she couldn’t attend the school for long over family issues i was moved to a different area and the school she’s gone to after that hasn't been anywhere like this one. I so wish she could stay there and fully finish till end but fate had it’s own for us sadly. I miss my daughter being in this school was the best she ever had.

this school is a great school and i am currently in year 6 in this school. I have come since nursery and i have proof that the teachers are kind hearted and believe in the children. the only way I have learnt a vast amount of things is because of the help we get.

Only the poorest characters attend this high school there are fights on a daily in this school the students are extremely disrespectful to the teachers. There is a lot of bullying in this school and that is never dealt with effectively.Your lucky to not get bullied if you come to this school, awful experience so far

This excellent school is free to attend; it isn't a grammar school - the name is historical. With 4 children attending I can confirm that the school's academic record is excellent. WHGS offers very good music, drama and sports; there is good discipline and no tolerance of bullying.
