I'm born and raised in Liverpool and I love going on the ferry! The staff that I've come across in the ferry terminals are great and helpful. The ferry itself is potentially the most famous ferry in the world and it's easy to see why. You get brilliant views of the Liverpool waterfront and also of the Wirral. There is a bar on board offering a selection of drinks and snacks, also there are toilets on board that are kept clean. It's worth knowing that it's £12 per adult if you turn up to the terminal to by tickets, or if you buy a Mersey travel card for a £1 and ask for the all zone day rider you can use the bus, train and ferry for £6 - however you will have to get the ferry across to the next terminal, get off and wait an hour before returning on the ferry later on. This is good for exploring the local area depending on where you are.

We were there for the 2023 International Beatles Week festivities and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing ferry cruise on the Mersey. The ferry was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. I now feel that no visit to Liverpool is truly complete without a nice Mersey ferry ride.

50 minute Mersey River Cruise, Ferry 'Cross The Mersey.Started from Seacombe terminal, friendly ticket staff and clean building.Lots to see and informative prerecorded commentary was easily heard. Stood on deck then went inside for a warm, radiators were hot and there's coffee for sale in the shop. Stopped at Gerry Marsden terminal then a shorter journey back.

We took the fabulous Mersey Cruise on a recent trip to Liverpool. The updated commentary is great, and we got to see the new football stadium too. The ferry now stops at Seacombe, and we took the open top bus into New Brighton - the bus fare was included in the price of the ferry which is great value.

Really enjoyable and educational boat trip down the River Mersey!A must-do for anyone visiting for the first time, or looking to learn more about the river and it’s history. The trip was 50 minutes exactly, and took us round in a big loop, stopping at another dock as well for additional passengers. We had a great seat right up front, and the views were really beautiful. The commentary throughout meant we were constantly spotting new attractions and buildings, and learning about what they were and how they served Liverpool. All in all, a really lovely experience!

That was so much fun!!! It takes 50 minutes and we paid £12 for an adult. It may look like it’s expensive but definitely worth the experience. You can listen to the tour guide and at the same time take really nice pictures of beautiful Liverpool! We had our tour on a sunny day which I recommend the most!

My Dad and I booked our Mersey Ferry tour last minute after seeing reviews here, can honestly say it was the highlight of our trip to Liverpool! It's only a 50 minute cruise, but it's so educational and informative! For £12 for an adult and £10.50 for concession, we both felt it was well worth the money, we both enjoyed ourselves so much! There is a little bar on board too!
