Dr Donnelly a senior psychiatrist consultant at Ballendon House Edinburgh lied in her notes and gave me a wrong diagnosis and then turned aggressive . I have felt out of sorts for years it took me years to get seen and then I was given an abrupt and incorrect diagnosis , minus any true examination of my own background. Due to the protracted strength of Donnelly's word I've been refused a second assessment by her pals at Cambridge Street even though , several GP's have conveyed on my behalf that I was not satisfied with Donnelly's , confidence trickster routine. I latter found out that she applied non of the background checks and investigation , that a decent Psychiatrist would have. In order to conclude with a diagnosis. Like most I have paid taxes into the system It is actually my right to get a unbiassed second opinion , and one that steam from a proper assessment not an abrupt and uninviting one from an English import like Donnelly When I asked for a copy of my notes she ignored my official letter. I was given a wrong diagnosis and obstructed from making a complaint in time by NHS Lothian. This vindictive narcissist pausing as a Psychiatrist has also ensured that I can't get a second opinion elsewhere , as it will obviously embarrass her and call into question her appalling unprofessional conduct. I should have been given a diagnosis of ADHD and supported with a proper treatment plan . Dr Donnelley laughed like an evil itch when I tried to ask for help or at least therapy. The evil itch laughed and seemed to take satisfaction of the em pass the crocked NHS system permits employees like Donnelley to construct to the detriment of patients and their quality. of life. In order to embolden professional abusers like Donnelley.

Wonderful windows and almost perfect front garden, all of the people who were sat out front seemed nice. They don't serve alcohol here, if you want a good pint avoid Lothian Road...

Since my partner had worked as a psychiatric nurse for over 20 years fortunately she was aware of NHS Lothian`s policy on patient confidentiality.My partner`s knowledge was valuable when we had reason to complain about a psychiatrist who works at Cambridge St who breached NHS Lothian`s policy on confidentiality, causing immense mental distress to a close relative of ours who was under his care.Whilst NHS Lothian (naturally) attempted to cover up for the psychiatrist, the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman upheld our complaint and forced NHS Lothian to give our relative a written apology.When psychiatrists who are paid a good salary to care for patients under their care breach NHS Lothians guidelines on patient confidentiality to the detriment of their patients, what chance is there of the general public treating people with mental health problems with respect?Unfortunatley, the psychaitrist in question still works at Cambridge St House, but will HOPEFULLY be more respectful to the patients under his care who have severe and enduring mental health problems, as a result of our complaint having been upheld by the SPSO.

Compared to leith mental health, It didn't feel as professional,efficient,and a genuine passion to want to help people (in my opinion)nothing personal to some lovely staff but it felt like from day 1i guess I was just another case load for them but at least pretend ur on the job!pretend ur passionate about helping someone help themselves! Out of the 4/5 people that worked with me I learned the same from 1 single person at leith!I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless your not bothered..coz they're not! (In my opinion! )
