The Green Welly Café | The Green Welly is a beautifully refurbished café with a delightful walled garden in the heart of Ditchling Village. Everything in the café is home baked and can be served with a selection of individually roasted coffees or one of our many varieties of tea or cold drinks. I enjoyed our visit to the green welly today. I did find the coffee a tad bitter but maybe I was just unlucky. The spinach frittata was light and lovely.

Lovely trendy cafe in the heart of Ditchling, it looks small but once inside its open plan makes it roomy, and it also has a walled courtyard garden with more seating. Serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea its a great place to meet friends or drop in for a quick coffee.

Back again for a friends birthday present. Once again, lovely food and friendly service. I love The Green Welly. Such a warm, friendly, welcome each time I have been (three times). All the staff are lovely.The food is delicious, freshly prepared/cooked on site. My lunch, the salmon and dill quiche was absolutely scrumptious, very tasty and oh!, melt in your mouth pastry. My friend also raved about her chilli, prawn and mayonnaise sandwiches, parcelled up very rustically.The courtyard is a delightful setting to enjoy too. All in all, a very enjoyable and reasonably priced, place to eat.Thank you Sue and the team! :)

Worst service in this cafe. Ordered a Panini with a salad came late did not provide me with Napkin or knife and for.No smiling from the obese waiter.I would never go in that place again!!!

Lovely place to go for breakfast and lunch! Very dog friendly, the food and cake was delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is warm and homey. I recommend the cheddar and chutney sandwich it was delightful.

Delightful place serving delicious freshhomemade food. Wonderful cakes andsandwiches. Organic eggs. Local produce.Vegetarian & Vegan. Licensed. A perfectmeeting place for locals/travellers alike.Dog friendly. Beautiful courtyard. Propertea would be good.
