Loch Ness Motorhomes

I cannot recommend this firm enough. Myself and my girlfriend, our lab and lab pup hired a 4 birth 690 in August 2020. The van was absolutely spotless on collection and a thorough walk around and talk through explained everything. We had never been away in a motor home before so had lots to learn. The van was well equipped and very comfortable. It was easy to drive and a real pleasure. We did the NC500 and enjoyed every minute. Our only issue was when we were hit by another motor home who knocked off our wing mirror. A call to the owner put our minds at rest and he fixed the lense for cost of parts only when we returned the van. I would absolutely recommend Loch Ness Motorhomes and we will definitely use then again next time we go to Scotland. Fabulous family run firm.

My wife and I hired one of the 675 models for 2 weeks to head to the islands with. We have hired roughly 4 motorhomes across the UK over the last few years and Loch Ness Motorhomes was one of if not the best hiring experience.// Pros* The motorhome was cleaned and maintained to a high standard. These guys are very efficient and have thought of everything.* They supply pretty much everything you need in the vans* Communication throughout the process was top notch and quick.* Friendly team, clear instructions.* reasonably priced relative to the competition.//Cons* Can't fault anything. I see people complain about the 9am return, but I understand the logic behind it.I would (and have) thoroughly recommend these guys.

We have never hired a motorhome before. This company were very professional, covid aware, all the kitchen utensils were individually sealed etc. The people at Loch Ness Motorhomes were very knowledgeable and helpful. They answered all our questions, gave advice and tips for making the journey easier, and were very friendly and approachable. Thank you to the team for making our tour around northwest Scotland brilliant!

Handover was fairly long, about an hour, but was thorough.. Motorhome was easy to drive, though they can be hard to park in smaller towns and villages in the Highlands. Alan replied to messages within the hour. Certainly recommend...

Highly recommended. Fantastic service, attention to detail and a thoroughly enjoyable Scottish welcome from Alan and the team. We appreciated the flexibility with collection and return, our Zefiro 675 motorhome was warm, comfortable and expertly equipped. The bikes we additionally hired as part of the package were fantastic, easy and reliable and gave us the freedom to explore much wider areas once we had stopped. Many thanks for a great experience of our first motorhome rental.

We rented a motorhome for two weeks to drive the North Coast 500. It was great how we got some tips before our trip what to bring and where to go. At the Holiday Park everything was explained really well and the Holiday Park is a great spot to stay. We really loved the trip we made and the service we got from Loch Ness Motorhomes. We would definitely hire a campervan again!

Hired a motorhome in May for our NC500 trip and we were delighted with the standard of the motorhome, the equipment provided and the service given by Allan and his staff. We would have no hesitation in hiring again from Loch Ness Motorhomes.

This was our first time hiring an ‘RV’ and we had a fantastic time.Unfortunately, the beginning of the holidays was very, very unpleasant. Due to a highly unusual ‘IT error,’ DVLA gave me a wrong verification code for my driving license. DVLA ‘help hot-line’ was unavailable as it was a Sunday… Alan, the owner of “Loch Ness Motorhomes” proved to be the most inflexible person I have ever encountered in my life so he became a part of the problem instead of the solution.From then on everything went well and we had a fantastic time.The RV worked fine during the week. Driving the NC500 was a wonderful experience (in March), including the “Bealach Na Ba” (which l personally recommend you not to drive unless you have experience driving ‘and reversing’ large vehicles).The model we hired (Tribute 720) has a front top that makes the RV a poor aerodynamic design. You will find yourself driving significantly slower than similarly sized vehicles in windy conditions. At times, it also makes the RV unstable, but all you have to do is slow down and you’ll be alright.A few things you want to consider when choosing this company against the competition is:- Distance to the airport.- No availability of airport transfer, which other companies offer for free. Keep in mind that a one way ‘airport to Loch Ness Motorhomes’ transfer will cost you £50 so that’s £100 both ways.- “Loch Ness Motorhomes” has a camp-site where you can stay for free.All in all, we recommend this company. One star off due to Alan’s extremely inflexible behavior.

Fantastic first time albeit a wee bitty windy.Xmas 2016 and this was the first time I have ever been in / rented a caravan or motorhome so all to experience. Alan @ LNM's was and has been very thourough and professional from begining to end, it was a lesson in good quality customer service.I intended to do the NC500, which I know well anyway, but with the added extra of being able to stop pretty much where ever I wanted, due to gale Barbera this was not always possible, but still enjoyable.Will be back again pretty soon to try the NC500 in hopefully calmer weather .....Allan McDigger

Our 3rd Motorhome adventure with 'Lochness Motorhomes' and we had another wonderful time! Fantastic service. Spotless vehicle with lots of additional features to make travelling easier. Alan and the team are very helpful and friendly and are happy to answer all questions, no matter how small!Obviously, in the current 'lockdown' climate, there were lots of queries around our trip this year as we had to change our travel plans a few times. The team were very supportive and were able to help us, even keeping us well informed of the situation in Scotland as things progressed.We're certain to be booking again for our next Scottish adventure!
