Carfax NHS Medical Centre

The most rude and impatient receptionist staff you will indeed come across is here at the Carfax Surgery. First and foremost you can't get through the telephone lines. Finally when you get through the receptionist has no patience to hear you out and simply hangs up saying call back. Appalling!

The front desk is the most unaware and unpleasant. In the same floor WhaleBridge and Carfax consulting are done. It was our first day for GP visit and if we asked anything it was not responded well. I was amazed how she does not know that WhaleBridge GP consulting is on the same floor (there are only 2 doors on the floor) and I had to run multiple times for simplest of the reasons to Ground floor to get the clarification. The front desk on the ground floor was very helpful in all regards.

The reception staff is very rude. I was late 10 minutes for the appointment as I have new born baby, I had breast fed on the way to appointment. But receptionist doesn’t want to listen anything, immediately she cancelled my appointment. Finally, my elder daughter couldn’t receive flu vaccine. Interesting point is , she hadn’t checked with vaccination team whether they want to cancel it or not. I am also working as registered nurse, we know how work pressure will be , it doesn’t mean to be rude with people who come for an appointment. The receptionist is thinking that she can do anything she wants. I believe, concern team will give proper training to the receptionist that how to deal with customers.

Had a shocking time with Carfax - argued with them over policies to update my details that are well published and established and they failed to budge, even after a complaint to NHS England. Moved practises and they picked up the failure and contacted me immediately to ask if I would like my details corrected, showing how bad Carfax really are. Avoid them at all costs.

I've had mixed dealings with this surgery, where Dr's wouldn't follow up and then having other Dr's going over and beyond and being very sympathetic. From Dr's ignoring messages to threatening to cut off life saving meds and then cancelling said appointments and now to actually providing a call back an hour or so less after requesting it, actually getting real help and the pharmacy having the new script ready for collection within a few hours. 4 out of 5 as without my new meds, I'd seriouslybe iin a bad way.

Nhs books an appointment doesn't call back inquired about it and says they called me a number of times(which they did not) and said something wrong with my phone if i didn't receive their call.. So nhs how come i get other ppls call but not ursV unhelpfully

Receptionist at this practice is so rude! Lady with the blonde bob, her customer service is disgusting !! I was told go over there, we don’t deal with Whalebridge, just sit over there! And waved her hand. This is the 3rd time I have had the misfortune of being greeted by this person, every time she has been the same! New reception staff much needed! So so rude !!!!! Unbelievable she is still employed here.

This is the worst practice I’ve ever had the experience of dealing with. Their front desk staff are absolutely horrendous and their Doctors are extremely useless. If there was a rating of minus they’d receive minus anything to do with healthcare and humans well-being. I’m shocked they still have a practice going. Maybe for refugees only

Waited months for a referral, only to be told when chasing up that it was denied... Letter dated early July arrived end of August! So just sat on someone's desk for months.. Funny how there is no issue collecting ridiculous amounts of tax and national insurance every month but the moment I need basic medical care, I am denied it. Absolutely appalled.

The reception staff here is really rude, they dnt want to listen to you and just want to get rid of you, I had called them regarding severe bleeding but they don’t take any form of interest, instead asked me to call later in the afternoon around 1:00 pm and not received the calls. specially the women with the curly hair wearing spectacles, everytime I or any of my family members visits carfax she has to be rude, lack of professionalism & people skills. Being a patient I could do it better if I had your job mate. Absolutely disgusted.
