Grimston Bar Park and Ride

Closes by 6.30 pm, too early to be of much use.

Good Park and ride if you are going for something during the day. The facilities were ok although the office had no set opening times. The busses were clean. The one annoying thing was the early cut off. The last bus was at 2139 throughout the week which is not good if you are going to an event. Saturday or Sunday wasn't much better either. Sunday was actually worse... Since the parking is meant to close at 2200 if you miss the last bus and get a taxi etc. You would be locked in if you are any later then have to pay a fee to release your vehicle. In a motorhome you had to go through a barrier which had a call button which went to a call centre. The call button was on the right side which meant you had to get out to call them. It took a few minutes to get through. Again, when leaving the parking you have to call in, again the call button was on the right side which was awkward. Either way, the busses were fairly reliable and weren't packed with folk. Very frequent service.
