TBS Boats Penton Hook

Thanks to Tim and everyone at TBS for a really great experience buying our first boat. Tim’s knowledge and helpfulness were invaluable guiding us through the process and we now have a wonderful boat to enjoy.We bought our boat during lockdown and when I asked Tim for the internal dimensions of the cabin he went one better by getting the factory CAD drawing to confirm the size. This level of support and great advice all along the way gave me the confidence that we were in very good hands.I wouldn't hesitate in buying another boat from them in future, in fact I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We bought our first (used boat) from TBS Boats at Penton Hook and had an excellent experience from start to completion. Travelling from Manchester they were very accommodating and flexible with our viewing times. We viewed 3 boats in total and were given plenty of time for viewing each one, afterwards we had plenty of questions about two of the boats and found the whole team very helpful in answering our questions and throughout our purchase experience.Darren was our main contact and was very helpful answering any questions we had and gave us plenty of time to explain the boat to us on handover and help us acquaint ourselves with the boat out on the water. We also had dealings with both Russel and Tim in the initial viewing and answering pre-purchase questions and found them both to be very helpful.We looked at other boats elsewhere that were let down by not having sufficient evidence of title, thankfully TBS had taken the time to ensure all paperwork was in order before the boat was placed on the market.Thoroughly recommended if you're in the market for purchasing a boat.

Great company and fantastic service. Recently purchased a new (first) boat and got to know various staff at the company who I all had excellent service from. Special thanks to Tim who was the main guy looking after us from start to finish. He explained everything well from start to finish and even beyond the sale, helped us with basic tuition, boat handling, locks, ropes/docking and all questions we had. He also escorted us to our marina when we were ready to go. Fantastic service, thanks Tim. The company let us use the Penton Hook marina facilities after initial handover which helped greatly for some initial practice. Thanks Tim!And great service from the rest of the team. Both Russell and Darren were both great in terms of helping us during the sale when Tim wasn't availble, showing us around and always had time for us. Always very helpful and knowledgeable and on hand for help and questions.Harry kept our boat in great nick before handover and was always friendly to talk to.And the owner Chris was great to talk to, very friendly and has a great team.Thanks a lot TBS for getting us into boating with our first boat. I have to say that the experience that my wife and I had at TBS was second to none. From our first meeting with Tim we were lead through the daunting process of purchasing our first boat with ease. There was absolutely no pressure at any time and Tim was there to answer any questions we had. At the river trial we were shown how everything works and spent a good hour cruising around Penton Hook on a beautiful sunny day. At handover we were again accompanied by Tim who gave me some much needed mooring tuition.Highly recommended!

We purchased our pride and joy Epiphany at Penton Hook in 2022. Having met TBS staff at Southampton boat show previously we felt we already had a great connection to TBS boats. Making us feel extremely welcome.Have to say all the staff at TBS Penton Hook are very accommodating. With special mention to Tim and Especially Darren who was always there to answer any questions we had in relation to the boat. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend.

A lack of communication throughout the selling process, expect to chase for updates.Didn’t particularly enjoy working with Darren, came across a bit arrogant. He’s professional enough but just the way he dealt with a few situations didn’t make me feel valued as a seller.The boat was listed with them for around 11 months. Ultimately the boat sold because I dropped the price heavily for a quick sale. A price I could have achieved independently quite easily, even in todays market.Tim was a pleasure to deal with, really nice guy.

We had an excellent service from Tim at TBS Penton Hook. The Quicksilver is a very well made boat. We purchased new with a Mercury outboard and SBS trailer. The boat was well prepared and tested prior to collection. Thank you Tim and all at TBS.
