I popped into the Flemingate shop today looking for Mens cheap tracksuit bottoms. Found them but one pair had a little snag in the bottom and they didn’t have any more. Charlotte went above and beyond to help and not only found me another replacement she also went and fetched me a blue pair. Now that’s what I call service. Thanks again Charlotte.

Staff are d**kheads!! Monkeys would be more useful than the workers in there.The staff think they are at social club just chatting and w**king each other off.Go to Hull instead you'll get better service.

Yesterday I visited the Sports Direct on Flemingate in Beverley. I was there with my son to buy birthday presents for my husband. The lady at the till seemed nice at first (didn't catch her name but it was about 10am on 22nd sept 2021) but when i came to pay she discriminated against me as a partially sighted person. In fact what she did was illegal and should be reported. She refused my chip and signature debit card because i didn't have my passport with me to show proof of identity. I then had to leave without my shopping and shop somewhere else. As i left she became very angry and started shouting at me as i left and made me feel like a criminal because i was using a disabled persons debit card, one that has been widely accepted throughout the UK since chip and pin came in for people that can't use a chip and pin. Nowhere else in Beverley has ever done this and i am disgusted by the treatment i received. She then served someone else with a chip and pin and treated them totally different and never asked them for any ID. I never thought discrimination was practiced like this in shops against people with disabilities and i will never shop there again.

Don't know the name of the lady, seems to be store manager of some sort possibly, brown long hair. She is the most uninviting lady to a store, she is a hard piece of work, and has a disgusting attitude. Avoid her if possible! Everyone else, just ignored me whilst I was looking for some help... and empty store on a Monday morning.

Waited at the counter to be served for 5 minutes then left as I saw the entire time there were two ladies standing at the door laughing instead of double up and serve me! resent they have a job, let them change it!

Staff are absolutely disgusting in that place rude , abrupt , more interested in standing next to the front door drawing looks to customers & chatting. They all need to be trained in what it is to be in customer service. But in reality the whole of Beverley’s sports direct shop should be removed of all current staff & have new fresh polite welcoming staff members. The way they treat people is not acceptable at all. 1 star isn’t even correct to give not even worth 1 star, if I could give non at all I would. Absolutely vile of a team in that place, not okay at all how they treat people & act get it sorted out.would not recommend to anyone.

Overpriced for quality on offer, couldn't get my son's feet measured as it isn't a service they offer. the more expensive stuff is competitive but the cheaper end is wretched. decathlon is better value for money in my opinion. I shall buy online from a different company after going to Clarks to get feet measured but unable to find a suitable trainer there.

The store its self is not bad but they really need to answer the phone it’s not hard

I purchased a pair of football/rugby boots for my son at the end of October. Sadly they were clearly faulty and had a terrible smell. I took them to the Sports Direct on Flemmingate Beverley. The manager was called and straight away I knew what her response would be, which was not interested she was rude and made me feel like I was in the wrong. Telling me the boots were an old style (like I was bothered) I paid £74.99 not 6 weeks prior to returning them and I wasn’t asking for anything other than an alternative pair. I left and and went to Kingswood Hull were it was a different story all together the lady was so helpful clearly realised straight away the boots were clearly faulty and offered a credit note or exchange without hesitation. I understand they have refund policies but if the item is not fit for purpose after less than 6 weeks then a refund has to be given. My review score is purely based on the Flemmingate store and no reflection on the Hull Kingswood store who were amazing. Surely all stores have the same refund policy in place?!

Went into store to buy new trainers 3 members of staff busy chatting to each other and ignoring customers, had to ask for help and eventually got served. Did not feel like a pleasant experience at all. Have been in this store before and staff do not make you feel welcome at all, will not be visiting again.
