Alba Whisky Tours

We went on a private whisky tour with Connor and loved it. Communication was excellent. The vehicle was top shelf and Connor's knowledge of whiskey and the local distilleries was first rate. We booked rather late in the process and the first couple of tour guides we looked at were booked. We found Alba tours after several searches and feel like we hit the jackpot. One of the most memorable experiences of our trip!

Connected with Connor prior to heading to Glasgow for a conference. In planning Connor was very helpful in putting together a great list of distilleries and sites to see for the day of my tour. After my conference, I took the train to Aviemore where Connor was waiting to pick me up to start the day. Connor was very knowledgeable about each distillery and made excellent recommendations of whiskys to try at each location. In addition, to the distillery information, Connor was extremely helpful in helping plan my stay in Granstown and made a great dinner recommendation as well. I had a great time and learned a lot about Scotland and whiskys of the region. I would highly recommend Alba and Connor if anyone is looking for a knowledgeable and professional guide for their whisky tour!

My husband and I booked a daylong tour with Connor through our stay at Haus Alba. We visited 4 distilleries and also had lunch at a nice local pub. Connor was so accommodating in building our itinerary and very knowledgeable about whisky and the best local distilleries! The Range Rover was new and sparkling clean. Water and snacks were also provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Speyside!

My boyfriend and I booked the Whiskey Tour rather spontaneously. Connor was our Tour Guide and he drove us to different distilleries throughout the Speyside area, stopping at beautiful and historic landmarks, offering whiskey and sharing interesting facts about the area. Since the summer time is rather busy, some of the distilleries were fully booked, but Connor was charming and made sure we get to taste the fine whiskeys of the Speyside. Without a pro tour guide we wouldn't have seen even half of them. All in all we had the best day - comfortable, safe and well entertained. Also the tour was offered in German as well. Alba Whisky Tours is a hidden gem in the Highlands area and I HIGHLY recommend for whisky explorers of all kinds! Absolutely phenomenal day out touring and tasting Speyside distilleries. Connor is your go-to-person for whisky in the area; staff at every distillery we visited knew Connor on sight and came right up to chat (one of them even slipped me a special dram to taste :)) His insider knowledge is fantastic and he came up with a really interesting itinerary from a mix of distilleries I picked and ones he selected. For me, the biggest takeaway was really honing in on the type of whisky I actually enjoy the most; turns out I lean towards single malts matured in red wine barrels! It was really lovely to have the whole day tasting whisky, being taken around in a proper SUV on scenic routes, meeting super passionate and knowledgeable distillery folks and even feeding Highland cows along the way. My only regret is doing this on my last full day - can't wait for next time I'm in Scotland!

We had a fantastic time touring Speyside with Connor! He worked with us to schedule a day full of interesting tastings and tours that let us explore new distilleries. The scenery is incredible and Connor was a fantastic guide. Alba Whiskey Tours is such a pleasure to work with and next time we're in Scotland we'll be in touch.

My family and I took the Haus Alba Whisky tour and had a great time. Not only did we get to enjoy some of Scotland’s finest Speyside drams, we also got to enjoy some really great scenery and engaging conversation. We enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the fine art of distilling and the art of barrel making.David was a wonderful host. Not only did he share his knowledge about the region and the finer points of whisky tasting, but also about the culture and history of Scotland, which I found fascinating. The Haus Alba Whisky Tour was one of the big highlights of our Scotland vacation and a true Scottish experience.

Connor gave us an awesome tour. Plan, timing and the number of stops was ordered very well. The tour was very informative and Connor was personable and made us feel welcome. Unpretentious and fun. We would do this tour again 10/10.

Wir waren im September 2022 4 Tage mit Alba Whisky Tours unterwegs. Connor hat uns fachkundig durch die Speyside gefahren, uns zu Schlössern und Parks geleitet, die vorgebuchten Destillerien im Vorfeld gut und ausführlich erklärt und auch vor Ort einiges zusätzlich zu den gebuchten Touren erläutert. Unterwegs gab er viele Hinweise zu den Orten und Gegenden am Weg. Connor hat auch auf kurzfristige Wünsche reagiert und die eine oder andere Destillerie zusätzlich angefahren und uns so einen Blick von außen und in die Shops ermöglicht. Sein umfassendes Wissen über Schottland, Whisky, Destillerien, Land und Leute hat uns viele interessante Einsichten geboten. Ein großes Dankeschön noch einmal an dieser Stelle.
