We had a lovely dinner at The Talbot arms today, Sunday lunch was sold out (so get there before 3 pm for this)But I had beef chilli enchiladas with chips and salad and my Sister had Gammon Steak with chips and seasonal veg.The service by all of the staff was excellent, and they tended to our every needs.The food was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and piping hot, it was absolutely delicious, and fairly priced.We both had desert, Sister had bread and butter pudding with ice cream, and I had cheesecake with ice cream and they were very special indeed!I can thoroughly recommend The Talbot arms and will definitely attend again in the future.Excellent

Best pub food I’ve had in a long time. Great choice of ales. Really nice beer garden. Went with my young children, who loved the food.

As out-of-towners camping nearby, this was a great find. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great pub grub and a decent price too. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Would recommend.

18/04/23: a welcomed sign after walking up to Victoria's Cave. A much needed pint of some good quality craft ale. Lots of choice too, and dog friendly.

Excellent meal. My partner thoroughly Enjoyed the homemade steak pie ( just needed a spoon for gravy) and I had steak burger with bacon and blue stilton cheese.The ale was spot on Settle challenger and I had a very nicely presented pot of tea.Overall excellent experience, would reccomend

The lovely staff managed to squeeze our big group in last minute, as we were let down by another booking. Service was great and the food was really tasty - would definitely return!

I originally was going some place else for a quick tea but they weren't open as advertised and as I've visited the Talbot many years ago, I thought I'd give it a try.It was a Thursday tea time and it was quite busy which was a pleasant surprise.The staff were really friendly and helpful they explained our table was booked for 7pm by someone so we could use it til then, which we were more than happy with.We both just ordered main courses. Steak and ale pie - it was gorgeous and piping hot. Plenty of gravy which is always good with me. We were too full to sample the desserts but I will definitely visit again as the food, staff and the surroundings were great.They have a lovely beer garden as well. Give it a try if you are in the area, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
