Unfortunately had to use then as conveyancer a couple years ago, very inept company which ended up in me being charged by to mortgage providers in the same week. Please avoid them

What a disgraceful service this company provides. Just expect to be ripped off and told you're a liar when your lease tenancy ends. Do not rent a property from them no matter how nice it is because your deposit will soon become a gift to the landlord.

Absolutely the worst conveyancing service I’ve ever dealt with. Ever. I’d give negative stars if possible.They are the solicitor on the other side of a transfer of title and my onward purchase is now going to be 2 weeks delayed because they’ve lied about not receiving paperwork, not requested redemption statement despite knowing well in advance the planned date for settlement, not planned suitable alternative cover for a solicitors annual leave which has taken 4 days to resolve. Completely disorganised and they’ve made a really stressful separation significantly more stressful and much more costly as I had to arrange alternative accommodation for 2 weeks.I cannot stress how completely awful this company is.As a previous mortgage broker, my clients ALWAYS had issues when AC were their conveyancers for remortgages, and I can’t believe that now, despite not choosing them myself, they are still managing to screw me over.

Have used Aberdein Considine over the years and have also recommended to clients. Natasha is excellent as my conveyancer and has a good team of paralegals and support team to see you thru your journey.

Horrible experience. ON MY DAY ONE, the charged me for the repair of a faulty and old door lock. I was locked out of my room and everything I had was in there. I even had to ask people on the streets in the COLD to use their phones to call them and they said it wasn’t an EMERGENCY!!! I couldn’t even buy food or water for hours!!! They weren’t even planning to bring the locksmith that day if not that I pushed!!! Maybe because I’m not Scottish I was treated HORRIBLY!!!

It's sad you often can't select your conveyancer but I would advise that if your mortgage company tells you that they use Aberdein Considine to underwrite, you STAY WELL CLEAR. For our VERY SIMPLE remortgage, 5 weeks after mortgage offer, we have had zero communication from them with the exception of automated replies. Their phone lines ring out for 30 min and my 4 calls a day to check on status, during working hrs have gone unanswered for weeks. I finally got hold of a human today after 25 minutes waiting for someone to answer (hoorah), to be told that nothing had been done for weeks and our case now sits there as there was a single mistake on a form. Why did they not inform us? They had no response for this, and could not tell me when they were planning on telling us. To speed the process up I requested my own redemption certificate, sent it on to them, and haven't even received confirmation of receipt (despite it containing personal, confidential information). We will face a monthly payment hike from our existing lender as we won't complete in time. If you are a lender think twice before engaging them and possibly damaging your reputation (i.e. Skipton, Virgin Money etc).

I contacted Aberdein Considine 10 working days after returning my paperwork back to them by recorded delivery, to find they have lost it !! Its not like we're on a time schedule where our current mortgage expires shortly!!! I would be fired if I was so incompetent . Useless

If you enjoy burning cash then I'd advise paying a deposit with Aberdein Considine. They'll gladly line their own pockets with your hard earned money. We were recent tenants in their property and left it in arguably better condition than we found it in. They subsequently attempted to claim £1500 worth of our deposit. Shameful

Would not recommend this company.Have recently purchased a property through these guys and they have made things extremely complicated.The first day of moving in - The previous owners had left glass all over the front garden which resulted in my puppy's paws getting cut up, not only were we not notified of this at all but nothing was attempted to clean it.The house had the garage and garden absolutely full of rubbish, so full to the point some of it was hanging from the ceiling.Aberdein Considine's solicitor Hannah advised us we need to take everything up to the driveway for the sellers from heavy arcade machines to broken beds, wood, cement blocks etcHannah advised once this is done, then her clients can take it all.They were absolutely in the wrong as we had a list of items which were getting left, it was a part of the contract- under no circumstances should we have been the ones to move all sellers rubbish.In the end the sellers got most of their rubbish, not even a month into moving in we found out there was a leak underground the whole time which means changing all piping underneath the house which I'm sure you can appreciate won't be a cheap fix.This company holds no standards, cannot inform their clients of an appropriate way to leave property upon moving out.I hope they strive to improve for the future....

Truly awful.Missed completion date. 3 months into a straightforward remortgage and no sign of progress.Havent even sorted the mortgage offer or redemption despite it all being sent and available to them.Truly incompetent and this company should be avoided at all costs!!I’m finding this process with them the worst I have EVER had and I’ve done plenty of property transactions.
