Love Lily - Herrington Park
We popped in after a walk around herrington park through the week. Food is lush, just try everything! You will not be disappointed.I was disappointed with he service..they had customers collecting orders at the same door that customers were waiting to be seated so we stood at the 'please wait to be seated' sign which was outside for ages at the front and due to so many standing around inside waiting for orders we went completely unnoticed so I went in and asked if we could be seated.They have a door at the other side of the restaurant on to an outdoor seating area..it may be worth utilising both sides to avoid the mass cluster of people in the front waiting area. I can imagine it's bedlam on a busy weekend!!Lovely, lovely place and was totally worth the issues above. Just a pointer for the business really!

Well beyond my expectation no doubt you'll will have read there are sometimes queues to get in, Once you're in you'll see why the waiting is WELL WORTH IT.You'll always get the grumpies in the world wanting everything yesterday because of their poor planning and impatienceIf you're an impatient person the place is not for you as quality's comes at a cost.Great menu to choose from and the staff were very pleasant with there attention to the cleaning of the tables and the service they deliverI will certainly be returning - I would say go there hungry as the portions are a good size well earned 5 stars

Went to the Love Lily at Herrington Park, partly due to the Roker one being closed for refurbishment.We went quite early, even though there was a fair bit of snow on the A19.We were greeted and we were given a choice of tables.Everything was familiar as we’ve been to the Roker one a couple of times. We do like the seaside.The drinks came quickly, and the food shortly after. We both settled for the pancakes, with my eyes bigger than my belly I settled for the full 4. In fairness, my Mrs ordered the 2, but they brought the 4 by mistake.They were smothered in sauce, but 2 was enough, and we both took 2 away in a box that was provided. Too yummy to waste.We really enjoyed our visit here, in all fairness, we will probably make this our local (it is really a rare treat)It’s much bigger than Roker, and although there’s no seaside, the countryside is really lovely.The staff were excellent, really friendly, helpful and very efficient.

Terrible service but delicious food.After a long walk around the park we decided to call in for a coffee and while seeing the great selection of food on the menu decided to have some breakfast.I got the breakfast with a side of beans and everything was cooked exactly how I like it. The sausage was full of flavour and the fried eggs were nice and runny. My girlfriend got the Mexican benny. The sauce was mild but delicious and the chorizo was unlike anything I had tried before and would love to try again.The issue was the service. We had only just finished our food but still had our drinks, which were full, and the staff were straight over with the bill (which we had not asked for) followed by the card reader less than a minute later by a different member of staff making us feel like while we hadn't finished they wanted our money and wanted rid of us. This isn't acceptable when we haven't finished. I understand they get busy and they have people queuing to get in but they need to treat their customers like they are wanted if they want them to return rather than rush them out to fill their pockets.I was surprised to see most of the reviews here feel the same way but it doesn't look like they care about changing that any time soon based off our experience today.

Came here for the first time last month, I had the breakfast burger, the whole breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, bursting with flavour. I would love to know the recipe for the sauce it was served with! Simply divine. £36.80 for 2 x breakfast 2x fresh juice and 2x milkshakes. Quite reasonably priced for both the portion, and standard of food served. Will definitely be coming here again!

A lovely place, it was very busy but we did not wait long at all for a table. Table service was great with a huge selection of food and drink. I ordered the USA breakfast, it was delicious!I also bought two stuffed cookies to take away.I would recommend this restaurant and will be back. Thank you.

A lovely place next to Herrington Park. The food was good and the cake looks really pretty and tastes good (just a little too sweet for our liking). Although staff had given away the last piece of cake we ordered before the other customer, the Victoria sponge was good replacement anyways.

*Long review coming up but I genuinely think this place deserves it. So many bits that we were so impressed with!*Absolutely amazing place.We were a little put off by the queue but decided to wait. We were so impressed by the management of the queue, with a staff member coming and asking table requirements and taking people in as those tables became available (i.e. a couple behind us went in before us, but we were in before two groups of six in front of us).With that in mind it was really interesting watching them manage the tables inside while we were there, moving bigger tables down to smaller and vice versa depending on the requirements outside.In total I'd say we waited slightly over ten minutes.We didn't check the menu out at all before hand and had planned to just take the kids for a milkshake and sweet treat. We were really surprised by the extensive food options available and a few savoury items took our fancy so instead opted for brunch.After much deliberation (where the staff were very patient with us) we ordered our items. The milkshakes came quicker than the hot chocolates by a good five minutes but we were fine with that.We were all really pleased with our food choices when they came too. They all looked exactly as they did on the menu. They all tasted delicious. And they were all very good portion sizes, offering good value for money.The whole place is immaculately clean which was just lush! Even the menus were spotless, which for a place so busy I would have thought might have had that well used stick. But not at all, they appeared to be brand new but weren't. In addition to this when the staff cleaned the tables they did such a thorough job checking seats, sorting any mess on the floor. And I have never ever seen a baby high chair get cleaned so thoroughly!Staff were polite and friendly throughout and worked well together too.Would highly recommend a visit here.
