A frosty reception on our arrival at just after 2.30. Then chairs started to be placed on tables more than 30 minutes before closing time which is supposedly 4pm. When I asked if they were closing the reply ' Well we're trying ' was exceptionally rude. Regardless of whether it's been a quiet day and the cleaning is still to be done you should be grateful for every customer or you'll find you have none and no viable business. The one star is for the coffee. I'll not be back as there's nicer places in Falkland more deserving of my custom

The Lomond Tearoom and Chocolate Shop
Myself and a couple of friends(one of whom has learning difficulties) visited here for lunch today. We were served by friendly and courteous staff. Food was hot and delicious, 3 clean plates. We also picked a cake each from the hand baking and weren't disappointed. All this was washed down with several pots of tea and coffee. We would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful welcoming teashop to anyone. We look forward to our next visit hopefully in the near future.

Generally speaking, the spot is fine to pop in and have a cup of coffee. Don't have too much experience in food (had just pancakes), but the interior is not the same in reality as in the photo (without comfortable armchairs and cosy pillows) but was also fine. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos, because the weather was horrible and we wanted to have some coffee there asap. Recommend.

Went here for lunch with my brother and it was superb. Staff were very attentive and were able to accommodate my brothers dietary requirements as he has autism and restricted diet. Food is amazing especially the pancakes and the cakes looked and were fantastic! Can't wait to return!:)

Lovely breakfast in Falkland. Staff very kindly put together a vegan breakfast for us which wasn’t actually on the menu. Didn’t sample the cake selection but looked great!Overall a great Scottish breakfast in a beautiful village with friendly service, would definitely return!

Chose to have breakfast here today while waiting for friends to view Palace. Chose on strength of online reviews. They did not do the place justice...great food, great service and the perfect way to start a great day exploring Falkland Palace, Gardens and village. Thanks.

Ordered a cake from here for my partners birthday which was absolutely delicious, she also ordered my birthday cake from here. Great communication and was exactly what we had invisiged both times.Have also had take away slices of cake from here all delicious, not yet tried dining in yet but is on the to do list.

I am surprised this place has such a high rating as when I went in with my daughter and my mother and we’re greeted to all the tables being reserved so we went into the other seating area and were asked what we were doing then once we were seated in a “reserved” table the actuall drinks were nice but for a chocolate cafe the chocolates were average. We came in quite late and they were closing at 4 but when a couple came in 20 to 4 they were rudely told that they wouldn’t have enough time just for a drink. The service was good but the staff themselves were rude and miserable. And to top this all up as we were finishing our drinks a good 10 minutes before closing time they started putting chairs on tables and cleaning them with chemicals as we were still consuming drinks. Overall not a good experience and I would not recommend I am sure there are many better tea rooms around the corner.

The Lomond Tearoom and Chocolate Shop
The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Lomond Tearoom today. We were made very welcome, service was quick and a great selection of food was on the menu, we chopped and changed our minds before deciding on American Pancakes from a separate menu, our chosen flavours were so yummy and were washed down with tea and coke :) All very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit, Thank you.
