Westair Flying School

We bought my son a one hour lesson for his 12th birthday and it was absolutely awesome.Our pilot Garry was excellent, explaining to my son what all the controls did and letting him fly the plane. We also had a little Geography quiz as we whizzed over the Lake District.I think he's caught the flying bug now so we'll definitely be back.

Thank you Johnathan at westair who took my husband out for his flight this afternoon. He had a fantastic experience and it brought so many memories back to him with not having flown a plane now for 45 years. Highly recommend this experience.

To add to the previous review - booked a lesson for my son who was home from Australia. The weather was quite poor at the allotted time, Westair were very flexible & move things around to accommodate the flight later in the day. Excellent customer service all round, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Westair to anyoneFantastic trial flight for my daughter last Saturday. The whole experience was great, easy to organise, friendly helpful staff and well worth the money. Bob the instructor was fabulous, he put us all at ease and made the flight very enjoyable with his commentary and one-liners. Highly recommended company and really nice people.

Mark the instructor were absolutely brilliant. Got a bit longer then my half hour due to a touch and go at the airfield . Definitely recommend. And I am counting this as my first lesson.

Brought my son for an introductory lesson for his 13th Birthday. The experience was fantastic, he absolutely loved it. The place and facilities are nice, very clean inside and outside, staff are amazing. Thanks so much Westair, we'll be back and I'd recommend you to anyone.

My Son had a trial flying lesson yesterday with instructor Pete. From start to finish the whole process was amazing. All the staff were very helpful and informative.It was such a great experience for him and would recommend anyone wanting to have a flying lesson to use this company..
