VIP+ has worked in partnership with the Parasol Project sine 2012 and the charity remains one of our strongest and most important partnerships.The Parasol Project has succesfully engaged and developed young people we have signposted through their expertise in providing positive activities that empower young people. Their expertise in, and passion for, inclusion leads to the development of a community of young people who learn important life skills such as acceptance, understanding and equality.VIP+ young people have frequently engaged over a long period of time, often progressing into volunteer roles.The teenage programme and the playscheme offer high quality in all areas of provision, from staff to opportunities and the impact on young people is visible and measurable. Self-confidence, social and emotional skills, resilience and agency are outcomes we have observed in the VIP+ young people who have engaged with Parasol. Their programming of activities is innovative and irresistible to young people and youth participation which is authentic and meaningful, places Parasol in a pivotal role in children and young people's lives and futures.
