Bridwell Park

Very expensive parking for what amounts to a cafe in some fields. We hoped the spiel from the friendly car park attendant It's £5 to park but you get a token for our cafe for £2 off your food

What a wonderful place. Some of the most magnificent oak trees anywhere. The cafe was a delight. The friendliest staff and best quality food, much better than any of the National trust equivalents

Was here for a private small festival event over august weekend, lovely environment, gorgeous old trees, the Orangery Cafe was open and nice too

Attended an Artisan Fair here. The views across the rolling hills of the park are beautiful. A climbing road towards the house with plenty of parking alongside. If your lucky as you come to the top the deer will be there to great you. In front of you is an imposing white Grade I listed classic Georgian house built in early Regency style. Commanding its position on the hill.Sympathetic orangery adjacent houses the cafe with fresh coffee, tea cakes and lunch.Beautiful chapel behind the house has gorgeous views as you come out the door across the parkland. Bridewell also offers weddings and an extensive events calendar throughout the year. Parkland is open for a walk, dogs on a lead please for the deers sake.Top Tip 1. If going for lunch get there early as it's always busy.Top Tip 2. Make a day of it if there is an event on Plenty of space to play games.

Expensive to park over priced cafe. Why is Bridwell charging people £5 to park ?? What is there to see?? Not much... a few fields, a smallish lake, no gardens to speak of, a rather shabby looking house which is out of bounds to the public except for functions... all very tired looking. The cafe is OK, but eye-watering prices.... all in all... an over rated venue....

Magnificent Estate, beautiful views, cafe restaurant and Artisan Market.

Bridwell is a wonderful place to spend some time. The vegetable pies in the cafe are out of this world and there are lots of local crafts and gifts in there.♿ if you're using a wheelchair, the cafe has a ramp to the entrance (74cm wide but the door itself opens double that width) and plenty of space to move around and pull up at a table inside. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet. I went to the Christmas market and there were boards in some places and the stalls themselves are on grass. Most of the walks are on hilly grass.

This event for Fireworks Night, organised by Lord Ivor and James, was absolutely outstanding. The organisation was first class, marshalls, including Lord Ivor himself (respect), assisted entry to their lovely grounds, the stalls with a wide variety of food were brilliant, the Fireworks were just fabulous and the whole evening made us proud and lucky to have secured tickets. Lord Ivor and James are a great couple who know how to put on an equally great event. Very well done and worth every penny.
