Was charged twice for same beer ,and was given a blank look when I asked why ,would understands if it was busy but no one was at the bar .

The owner is a power tripping knob, touches and grabs women when they ‘look at him funny’, and then puts them in a choke hold when they protest. When we tried explaining the situation and saying that we meant no harm, we were told that we’re barred for 4 years. Do not go here under any circumstances.

Bit of a run down saw dust pub now. A place for the younger generation to hang out after 10pm. A big selection of drink choices and some offers available but not as good as they used to be. Bar staff are nice when treated with respect.

this bar is not safe.the owner creates a very toxic environment with his aggression and fragile ego. a young woman got manhandled and chucked out for doing impressions with her friends.a lounge should be a communal space designed to feel welcoming and comfortable ESPECIALLY for women who are typically the least comfortable in these sorts of spaces.you should not have to be constantly worrying about your safety and surroundings from anyone let alone the owner of this terrible establishment.PLEASE do not support the dolphin

Just popped in with the dog for a drink..Didnt have any food so I can't comment..They have live bands in here which sounded great the night before but was just a bit too noisy for the dog!The night we went was fairly quiet, staff were friendly and other customers too got chatty..

I went to the Dolphin (somewhere I’ve been for the last 6 years) with my brother and his girlfriend. As a joke, we were pulling funny faces to each other, and someone behind us came over while we were doing so. The next minute, he had me in a chokehold and was shouting at me. We tried to explain to the bouncers what happened, but because he was the owner they took his word and we were kicked out immediately. This was extremely distressing as someone who suffers with anxiety, and we felt powerless despite doing nothing wrong. The owner clearly has some ego issues who enjoys harassing women for anyone considering visiting. Will be taking further.

Absolutely vile vile place and vile owner, who physically assaulted my friend, grabbing her by the throat. All of this because of her pulling a funny face as a harmless joke. Due to his position in the business, the bouncers were ordered to kick them out and then bar them unnecessarily for 4 years. Entirely unjust and completely disgusting as they did nothing wrong, they were just having a bit of a laugh. WHY ON EARTH would you physically assault someone, over such a stupid thing, and especially in your establishment. Not even to mention the fact that it was an older man attacking a younger woman. Girls, stay clear of it, don’t give your money to this idiot. Do not own a club if you can’t deal with the public. Oh also, it’s not a sodding club, it’s a pub that you pay entry for.

Play pool here often. It's a nice atmosphere. Would recommend.
