Great little restaurant. The waiter was extremely friendly, clever, and witty, with good knowledge of the menu.As this was one of the first places in which we ate in Scotland and are used to dining later, we accidentally overstayed our welcome and kept the staff from closing. Despite this, all staff were very friendly.The food was great - I had the Wallace burger topped with haggis. This was my first experience with haggis and it was very good!Highly recommend checking this place out when visiting the city.

The fish & chips weren’t homemade and seemed to be from a frozen package, so were tasteless. The dessert was reasonably good.

Staff here are always very pleasant and helpful. The food is and has been consistently very good over the many years I've visited.Today I ordered the ham salad and the portion of actual salad was Very poor and more of a side salad portion which was very disappointing. I won't let it put me off just won't order salad again .

Went for a bar lunch with my husband. It was 1st time in ages since we had been there. Food, atmosphere was amazing. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended

Had lunch on Sunday with family and some old friends From the moment we arrived greeted at door by a gentleman with a welcoming smile. And a friendly hello from all the staff. It was the start to a perfect visit. Food. drinks. service.. all you would expect. Thank you Hollybank for making our lunch so special. Just Perfect.

My partner and I went here for lunch yesterday. The food was served quickly, was hot and tasted great. The service was excellent, and staff very polite and friendly. We will definitely go back.Both chicken and beef fajitas were excellent

Last night was Pork Fillet Holstein and excellent as usual. The Hollybank is reliable to a fault. Food always promptly served and with a smile. I've been through the menu (fish excepted)and I sometimes have to tailor" the dish as I'm a picky eater. It's never a problem. I go to other places when being entertained by friends but I always come to The Hollybank ready to be spoiled and I always am. In short

Visited on spec for food on our way down South.What a little gem of a place!Good, hearty food, sensibly priced and very tasty.Highly recommended for food drink and service.
