Well, what can I say? I ordered a phone for Son to collect, and he got there to be told it needed me for collection , so 70.miles later, I walked in and they just gave him the phone with the code he had from the start and did not even ask me a question or prove I had ordered it. So rating on this store nice but no consistency on staff or rules may be they just make them.up as it goes

Great store where you can try out all the current apple products. It is always crowded, but somehow you can always get your hands on what you are looking for.The tricky part is if you actually want to buy something, as the wait time is usually 30 minutes during the weekend, and you get stuck there for quite some time. The process itself is quick, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.You can also book your appointment, which I recommend if you don’t want to wait there for hours.

I recently made a visit to my local Apple Store in Edinburgh, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts about the experience. As a dedicated Apple customer, I have always looked forward to the excitement of new product releases and the warm, knowledgeable interactions with Apple staff. Unfortunately, my most recent encounter was quite different from what I had come to expect.Traditionally, the Apple Store has been a place where customers could immerse themselves in the thrill of new Apple products. The atmosphere was typically filled with enthusiasm, and the staff were always eager to engage in conversations, answer questions, and provide guidance.However, on my most recent visit, I was met with a noticeable shift in the level of customer service. When I approached the iPhones to inquire about upgrading to the new iPhone 15 Pro, I was met with a rather disheartening response. I was promptly directed to schedule an appointment and informed that I would need to wait for an hour to speak with a staff member. This was quite a departure from the previous experience of simply walking into the store and engaging with a knowledgeable and friendly team.While I understand the importance of efficiency, it was disappointing to see the personal touch and enthusiasm for customer interactions appear to diminish. As a result of this experience, I chose not to make a purchase at the Apple Store and instead sought convenience and affordability elsewhere.In conclusion, my recent visit to the Edinburgh Apple Store left me yearning for the exceptional service and engagement that has long been associated with Apple. I hope that future visits will recapture the magic and customer-centric approach that has defined the Apple Store experience for many years.

A petty review but in a world of online ordering it feels worth mentioning. I ordered for pickup, greeted at the door nicely, checked in and asked to stand in the order collection queue. It quickly became apparent that many people in the order collection queue were not waiting to collect an order and instead wanted to order a product, and the staff managing the queue were fine with this, so I ended up having to wait for 15mins whilst people ordered and paid for apple products. The collection in the end took 2 mins max, hence the frustration I had to stand and wait. in my opinion the staff should be turning people away from that queue who are wanting to order a product

Went in today, 13th Nov around 11:30 am, for 15 pro max. Had a wonderful experience with all the interacted staffs and especially with Euan who dealt us both professionally and friendly. Was hesitant to go in, by reading the previous reviews, but we received a warm welcome in all regards. Credit check and trade-in went smoothly. Thanks Euan

Apple have gone downhill and lost their touch...I've been using Apple goods for over 20 years and this recent visit of mine was after 10 years as I had never needed support until this time. I actually can't believe how their customer care has deteriorated this much.My issue hasn't been resolved after diagnostic checks revealing what the problem was and replacing what was needed for me hasn't fixed my issue. I explained this to technician and he failed to understand that I felt everything needed replacing due to the nature of the fault. Reiterating bot like responses.I'm now in a position where I have a useless product but I'm thankful for John Lewis aftercare. John Lewis have understtod me and will replace the goods so I will only be using and recommending them for future purchases. Only problem is I have to wait until I get my next oppurtunity to visit them. Honestly wish I never wasted my time with Apple in the first place.
