Average on every level. Not as bad as some of the recent bad reviews, but certainly not as good as the good ones. Avoid if you can, but you'll live if there's few other options.

Getting in is a nightmare, service is a nightmare. Nobody bothered to clean our room before we checked in. Decent property at a decent price though.

The space himself was great, the problem is that i never saw anyone, i had to call to have an acess code cause no one was there to a check in! Even that way we managed and tottaly worth it! Ill be back

Me an my partner stayed over night ,this week we had a lovely room.lovely hot shower bed was very comfy too.such o lovely house to stay in we was very happy ,and thank you very much ,Mr d buses and Georgina

Stayed a night in this hotel, beautiful room but customer service was zero. Was left standing outside in the cold while waiting for a code to the front door, the kettle did not work! The place looked deserted with no help at hand, what a shame. Mitchelle

Have stayed here during the Easter break. It's fairly easy to find - the location is quite good, you have a pretty good walk from the main Southend station, though I believe the Heatcliff one might be closer, but we didn't mind.The self check in method is very smart, though it can be a bit tricky if the pin needs resetting, but the onsite keeper" was very helpful. Saw no staff at the hotel at all. We're unable to work out how to lock the room door. When phoning the number on the confirmation email given for 'any problems' there was no answer. Had no option but to go out and leave the room unlocked. On the plus side, room was warm, clean and comfortable.

My gf booked this room for me, she was on a night shift delivering babies and can't have her phone on her, welli arrived at the property to find no staff, I called the number and no reply, I looked at the email again and they requested my licence be screenshot and sent to them , I didn't have my licence on me, they also wanted the visa used for booking, my gf booked it so I couldn't provide it, so in short I couldn't stay at the property, I contacted them explaining I had no knowledge of the evidence they requested and requested a refund, they have refused several times , I paid for a room they wouldn't let me access , shocking
