Hands down the WORST experience I have ever had with any organisation ever. There is 0 support, 0 guidance, 0 communication. The university has been beyond unhelpful, often hindering my ability to complete my studies by being what can only be described as incompetent. Issues as simple as not being able to access module information takes weeks if not months to be resolved. Getting a helpful email response from my course leader was as rare as finding a pot of gold. If could describe my decision to attend UWE in a few words it would be The worst mistake I have ever made". Any people who are considering UWE as one of their choices

It is a lovely place to study and all the staff do their best to meet the expectation. It is a great honour to study here and work here as well. UWE is a home far from home

Do not trust the UWE website course pages, especially if you are entering last-minute through clearing! The site is not regularly updated, thus the reviews are deceptive and inaccurate to the current 'state' of the University. My course has been severely let down by the University of West England: my current year, the prior year which just 'graduated' (without grades nor certificates!), and the freshers starting this 2023 are, judging from the lack of progress, only going to experience the same. There is also no support, communication nor guidance from the Student Union - Student Advisors are always fully booked (though, from what I've heard, not much hope) and certainly nothing from the University media team. All passing blame. Steve West and the Chancellors need to take responsibility but are refusing to, and so our education is less than substantial.Thhis experience has been such a shame, as the reason that I opted for UWE as my first choice was because of the exceptional" student satisfaction for my course. This was clearly no less than a business ploy

Awesome campus with lot of open space. The best experience a student can have.

The university takes on too many students! You bring an issue up and you’re seen as a problem. The past three years of studying criminology at the university has been terrible! Only 3 hours of face to face learning a week and the rest is online. Paying 9 grand a year when not even being able to use the facilities like having proper lectures is absurd. I have no ambition since coming onto this course anymore as the motivation from staff is nonexistent as was the university experience in general. To top it off a majority of the staff were striking which was handled terribly, especially during dissertation season (which they moved forward so they could have less work to mark at the same time) sending students into absolute panic mode as many still didn’t know what to do, especially when all supervisors were on strike so we didn’t get the help we should’ve and to guide us. I know people who have sent numerous of complaints- majority of them ignored. Although the replies which were received often came across as patronising and treated you like you’re stupid. They don’t have the time to deal with your issues because they have too many students to look after who have other problems. I could write paragraphs and paragraphs on how unbothered and unprofessional this university has been from what I’ve experienced and from others. I would never recommend this uni to anyone.

Studying in UWE is great. Multi-cultural university with so many facilities like gym, restaurants, football court, basketball court.. and so on.. with a huge robotics lab + the largest solar powered building in the UK (as i heard) which is the business and law school

Terrible experience. Poor course delivery, poor communication, disgusting response to striking action, poor mental health response - treated like another problem. I do not recommend anyone going to this university, they are only interested in making money, not delivering a good education like they promise.

Very worst university in uk. Staff and teachers are not cooperative socially for international students they always try to fail the international students just to earn money . So please I am very disappointed this university. I never ever suggest to any one who want to study here any inquiry please you can ask...

Publishing on behalf of my daughter, who has had a terrible University experience at the West of England with the chancellor ignoring the ongoing strikes and the University and Student Union offering no support nor communication to the very-much-worried students! I hope other parents shall be taking the University to court regarding this - £9,000 tuition out of pocket for barely half an education, whilst the University board are passing the strikes off as a 'national issue' -- as if chancellor West is not himself on the board! Outrageous!

The University is an excellent teaching place with friendly staff. However Frenchay Campus is not very accessible for disabled people. When I went there over the summer, there were many heavy doors along corridors which are often closed and difficult to push open for people with disabilities - especially in Q and P blocks. Poor directions and easy to get lost when looking for rooms or blocks- signs to blocks or other locations like the Students Union are not accurate or missing. Bower Ashton and Glenside are much better, Frenchay does need a lot of improvement. Overall though, it's a very good university and really supportive and I recommend.
