Decided on gorge scrambling as an alternative take on a hen party. It was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't recommend it enough. Our instructor was responsive to the weather conditions to give us the best experience - taking us to a different location than planned as the levels were low in the original spot. Definitely give this a try - I will be going back!

We did raft racing at Coniston lake. This was a lot of fun! We split into two groups, built rafts, then raced them. Johan was professional, fun, and great at guiding the groups. He gave us some good tips on tying knots, which was essential to stop us getting wet! Hot chocolate was provided on the lake which was a great touch and took the edge off the cold water! Great day out for team building, would highly recommend the company.

We had a fantastic day with Tom and Johan who were very friendly and professional. We were a group of 12 and went for a full day gorge walking and they took us to a brilliant spot with amazing cliff jumping.Kept us entertained with some Archery while we waited for the rest of the group to arrive. All the equipment provided was top quality. Booking was smooth & easy with Emma.Would strongly recommend.

Just had a great day out on the Hawk 20 with Johan. Windy? Pah! We laugh in the face of wind! And as for the forecast hail storm at midday, we must have been charmed!The tuition by Johan will help us greatly when we take out our Enterprise Dinghy. Everyone had a go at all roles on the boat and the kids returned home with beaming smiles and are suitably exhausted (as are the Dads!).Oh and Johan's hot chocolate breaks were much appreciated!Will, Lizzie, Mark, Emma and Will

Absolutely amazing day that me and my partner will never forget. Johan was a brilliant instructor. If we ever get the chance we will do it again.

My two boys (16 & 12) and I booked 2 activities, kayaking and gorge walking. The booking process was straight forward and all the equipment we were issued was in very good condition and clean. Although there is an age gap between my two boys and I, both activities were pitched at the right level. The activities were challenging, exciting and very enjoyable. The gorge walking was particularly good with plunge pools, slides, jumps and waterfalls to ensure everyone was well and truly soaked and all had a fantastic experience. Thank you very much, the boys are already talking about our next trip to the Lake District.

We are a group of 5 friends and wanted an activity for our holiday while in the Lake District and we chose River Deep Mountain High and were so happy, the company were fantastic! Johan was great fun, informative and was interested in making sure that we got the most out of our adventure! Be sure to book with these guys during your break away or for a weekend activity- we really enjoyed it. They were so accommodating at helping us change our day of kayaking and were really helpful when I needed to give them a call. 100% recommend, thankyou!

Fantastic experience gorge walking in Coniston! Johan has 18 years experience and this shows! He made sure we got plenty for our money, will no doubt be returning next year, possibly trying the all day experience. Cannot recommend highly enough for beginners and those with past gorge walking experience.

We travelled to the Lake District for our annual summer staff event a couple of weeks ago and used River Deep Mountain High to provide some Gorge Walking for us. They were a very professional company to deal with and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were a group of 19 and they managed to make everyone feel challenged even though there were a wide range of abilities. River Deep Mountain High even offered to arrange the transport for us which was a big help. They picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the gorge which was in a beautiful location and featured a hidden waterfall. The instructors were very experienced. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Gorge Walk (and the lunch at the end provided by River Deep Mountain High). There is no doubt that we will use them again when we next return to the Lake District. Thank you River Deep Mountain High for making our day so enjoyable!
