Fish Tale Bar and Grill
Visited twice. The first time the food was excellent, well cooked and above all tasty. The second time the food was a little bit bland, but on the whole a nice restaurant with good staff.As the name suggests it specialises in fish dishes, but they are offered in a variety of ways and styles with influences from around the world. Reasonable prices for the quality.

Had a poached egg and asparagus starter which was absolutely delicious. The main mixed seafood selection was quite a big serving for one person but had lots of fish. I would recommend this place to friends.

What can I say. It has been a long time coming for Winchester. I have actually found the ideal restaurant that I can honestly say was outstanding. The service was great and pricing reasonable and the food amazing. I will definately be visiting again. Well done Fish Tale :)

We had a celebration lunch for 19 people and the menu, service and atmosphere were great and more important the food was excellent. The staff were efficient and helpful. Would recommend.

My second visit in a month. The food was superb! Staff lovely. Seafood beautifully put together, delicious flavours.It has been a very long time since I ate such lovely food in a restaurant.Highly recommend it.

Fish Tale Bar and Grill
We tried this place based on the great reviews here on Google and I'm glad we did. Excellent food, and very reasonably priced. I had a Kerala crab curry, with rice, poppadums and Bombay potato bhaji (included in the price) while my partner had a Goan monkfish curry, both delicious. We shared a starter of king scallop, pea purée, black pudding and bacon, mainly because we'd had a big lunch earlier but it looked too good to pass up (we were right). Service was friendly and attentive. Winchester is lucky to have such a lovely fish restaurant.

Saw this restaurant from the Park & Ride bus as we arrived in Winchester. What a find!!! Fantastic food & great service made for a really great lunch. Highly recommend this place and will visit again.

Fish Tale Bar and Grill
This restaurant is the best kept secret in Winchester. The food is always excellent...good quality, right portion size, prepared well and wonderful flavours. The service is also excellent...just the right level of attentiveness and friendliness. And the wine list, whilst quite short, is very well chosen and reasonably priced. I am amazed this place isn't always full but being just far enough down the High Street it doesn't get the footfall others do. Well worth a visit

Wonderful birthday meal at Fish Tale last night. Amazing food - we had seafood pasta, lobster burger, steak and chicken as mains and shared mussels and squid for starters. Lovely staff - They really made the evening special. Thank you
