I came here sadly not to celebrate a happy occasion but for a wake following the funeral of a dear friend.Hot drinks were available immediately and a manned bar for those who needed something a bit stiffer.Staff bought out a very good selection of hot and cold finger food and mini desserts. The staff were friendly, polite and unobtrusive.I would like to return under happier circumstances

We had an amazing experience with the Blackstock team for our wedding! Betty was a wonderful host and contact through the planning and on the day, I couldn't fault her or the team.The venue itself is spectacular! The photos we've had back already are so beautiful and including the animals was an added touch.The food was incredible and we were able to make some tweaks around the menus to suit our tastes and I couldn't have asked for more.Such a special venue and day. You should book your wedding here!

A beautiful wedding venue. Location is unspoilt (one small point: it could do with better signage from the South i.e. at Hellingly), the views are wonderful, service was good and food delicious. Speaking as a guest, it comes highly recommended!

Nice venue set in nice countryside though then difficult to get taxi. Small bar. We had to leave the reception room and go outside to wait for evening do. It was chilly and windy and there was not adequate seating inside.

There is not a better venue than Blackstock! I planned our wedding from the States and Blackstock never once made me stressed or worried. The venue was amazing, the staff was amazing and the food was out of this world! Cannot say enough good things about Blackstock and the team that works there!

My husband has just written a fairly long review so I'll try to keep mine (relatively!) short, but I just wanted to add a couple of pictures and to personally say how incredibly grateful I am to all the staff at Blackstock for giving us the most wonderful wedding day.Honestly it might sound like a cliché but it really was the most amazing day of my life, the staff at Blackstock are an absolute credit to the place and I feel like everyone there went totally above and beyond to make it so special. I seriously can't thank you all enough and I can genuinely say there isn't a single thing about the day that I would have wanted to change or have done differently at all, it simply was perfect and the amount of comments we have had afterwards from our guests to say how lovely they thought it all was just goes to show that everyone felt exactly the same way.From the stunning venue, to the top quality amazing food and all the wonderful staff who care so much about making your wedding day absolutely perfect for you, I am so happy that we chose to have our wedding at Blackstock and would totally recommend it to anyone who is considering having their wedding there. Honestly it will be the best decision you could make!

Staff were very friendly, helpful, approachable and unobtrusive. Surroundings were fabulous aided by glorious weather. Food was utterly melt-in-the-mouth.The only slight, very slight negative, was that the celebrant officiating at the wedding was a little too quiet for people at the back to hear.

Myself and my wife got married there this October. The staff were amazing. From the first visit to the end of the night. Whenever we had questions or concerns, we would email them. And within a day or so we had our answer.The food. Ohh my good god the food was fantastic. I cannot overstate this. The food is AMAZING.They was very lenient with us as we gave the final number only 4 weeks before the day. But this is because we have just had a baby. With out their help it wouldn’t have been the day we dreamed of.

I'm a local wedding photographer based in Hartfield, East SussexI have shot at this venue many times over the last few years and I cant speak highly enough of the beautiful grounds around this venue and the stunning golden hour image opportunities. The staff are amazing, always on point to make your day run smoothly and as relaxed as it can beThe main barns is a perfect spot for a good old boogie and allows for amazing dance floor photos. I love shooting here and cant wait to be back.

The venue as a building/setting is lovely and the staff and friendly and helpful, but I found it very strangle, almost unsettling that areas that we would have or did have access to were closed off by locked doors or gates. During the meal I had to go back to the car to get my sons buggy, yet when I went to leave via the front door I found it locked, this was the door that we had used to enter the venue and later that night the door to leave to go home.
