Quality room helpful staff. Felt very welcome. Buffet breakfast was quality.

Decided to stay here and have a relaxing evening with my partner, as we needed a relaxing break and thought with the spa included, thought it was a good option.Paid £100 for night, which included breakfast.Upon arriving got checked in, checked room and decided to have a drink. Start it all off went to bar, some drinks wasnt available on pump so went for next option. Went into spa, looking around, there is some areas that need working on, pool needs cleaning and in some areaa pool needs re tiling.Went for evening meal due to the area not enough choice with walking distance.When ordering our evening meal we ordered 2 starters ( mushroom in cheese garlice sauce) and 2 mains chicken tikka masala and pie mash peas and gravy) When the meals came out only 1 starter was brought too the table, i asked the waiter and he said he was bringing the other starter out but no return. Asked at desk they said i never ordered it, and they was sorry and that they will get the 2nd one.Looking at our starter it was missing the cheese sauce upon asking they said they had run out and decided to sprinkle cheese on top of the mushroom with out asking us or stating this before ordering.Upon receiving our main, my partners main meal was wrong and that had to go back as well. So we both ended up eating seperatly on both accassions which is totally not exceptable.Following morning for breakfast waited 5 mins to be seated, once seated they said tea and coffee will be brought to the table but didnt happen. Was only until we asked for it again.Reported all this to the receptionist, she took our details down and said some one with ring. But weve had no reply.To be honest this isnt a place to relax at all what they state. The pool and gym can be accessed by people that are not staying there,The staff, the place is run by kids and not very professional. Even in the morning certain staff are messing about during breakfast dancing around place.Definitely not the place to be booked for a night away, so definatly wont be staying here againThe meals are basic and well over priced for what you get. you can get better at Witherspoons.

Overall, a great place to visit. Beautiful venue and surrounding landscapes. Food was good, leisure club was good. However, they should either sack the cleaners that checked my room or give them better training. The amount of dust in the room was awful.

Lovely visit recently.The spa is quite small and basic, but I highly recommend the beauty treatments. I'd recommend the express back massage & facial was nice and relaxed afterwards.Afternoon tea was ok. The staff was nice and friendly .

One star because I can't award less.Where do I start? Don't go, don't book!!!The place is filthy and falling apart! The spa is nothing short of a health hazard, see pics attached from just over a week ago. Loose sharp tiles in steam room, furniture falling apart what little there is if it. Place looks like it has not been cleaned for months, green algae on pool steps, thick black tide mark on pool wall, black mould pool side! Awful!!Service is poor and slow to say the least, waited an hour for lunch whilst on a spa break!Please don't waste your hard earned cash, how this place has 4* is beyond me. The response from our complaint was dismissive to say the least; see screenshot. Never again!!

Stayed here Saturday night. Evening meal was OK but breakfast was cold. Rooms very clean but little tired. Staff were brilliant though overall 6 out of 10. And I forgot to mention cobwebs in dining room right above our heads all over the speaker. Not worth the money at all

Came here for a spa day for my friends birthday, we booked the package via spaseekers. The lad on reception was so chill, very polite but not the 100% enthusiasm you'd expect for a spa greeting. We got given our robes towels and slippers and paid our cash deposit. Our treatments were at 10am and the ladies were so lovely, very professional and did a great job. I had Lauren, my other friend had Sarah and I don't know the name of the other lady, but they were all great. We sat around the pool afterwards and used all facilities bar the gym. The gym is having some work done but there is signs up for this. The pool is nice it's not too deep, the jacuzzi was a nice hot bath but the bubbles were not working which was a shame. The sauna and steam room were also good. The pool is open to the hotel residents and those who sign up as members. They do allow children in the pool but only at certain times which is good. I think the timings are 8-10am and then maybe 3-5pm something like that. We stayed all day but as the kids started to arrive at 3:30pm we kind of didn't want to stay longer because we were there for a spa day and didn't want to be around children. I wish this was something that was disclosed to us. We had a cocktail and nachos included in our package and we got to pick the cocktail, but the service in the restaurant was slow and it took them a good 20 minutes to bring our nachos. This is a nice spa with good treatments. My only critiques are that there are not enough beds/chairs around the pool for everyone to relax on, and people leave their stuff on them to reserve which a sign says you're not allowed to do. Being aware of when children are allowed in would've been a nice warning as well. Overall we had a great day and would recommend people coming to this spa

We booked a spa morning which included lunch. Before booking, we checked that they catered for GF and DF. We were informed this wasn’t an issue. Upon arrival, we booked in for our lunch and we wrote down our dietary requirements. I also checked with the receptionist, as I was anxious about eating out. Again, we were assured this was fine and the restaurant would be informed. At dinner time, I was still hesitant as I’d only just started eating out after recently becoming gluten and lactose intolerant. However, a huge display on the bar that stated they catered for all dietary requirements settled me a little. Then our soup was served, with a bread roll that looked suspiciously like one that contained gluten. I questioned if this was GF. The waitress said she’d check. My friend had already taken a bite from hers (we are both GF and DF). This filled me with dread. She came back several minutes later with ONE GF roll, informing us the ones we’d been served did contain gluten. She didn’t remove them though. Then I asked if the soup was DF and GF and reminded her this is what we had both ordered. After about 10 minutes, we were informed it was OK to eat. We then ate warm soup, that had been standing about 20 minutes. It then took a further 40 minutes for our sandwich and salad to arrive. We checked if these were GF and DF as we were now very wary indeed. We were told they were. We were severed almost an hour late. No apologies whatsoever. No visit from the chef, or manager to assure us. We expected more. Much more. GF and DF is not complicated. Imagine if we had a serious allergy? I was gobsmacked. This experience ruined our wellbeing day!

Small quite spa. First time here for afternoon spa package with a friend. Quite was needed, and for £80 each we were satisfied. Slightly disappointed with the massage but facial good.
