Lovely big room, bed very comfy, proper furniture and plenty of normal coat hangers, food and drink, reasonably priced. Ideal location just off A1 for visiting local area. Would definitely stay again

Lovely clean and quiet. Great food. Room was large, well appointed and spotless. The little extras in the toilet etc made a difference. Lovely quiet village and enjoyed a walk around after our meal.

Went with my family for a meal on Sunday evening as we were holidaying in the area Messaged to book a table and they answered promptly. Friendly staff lovey meal, best meal we had had all weekend. Food was fresh and very tasty. I accidentally left my handbag under the table I had just realised when we got back to our accommodation when they messaged me to say they had found it and would keep it safe until I return for it. Wry much appreciated thank you

We had a lovely overnight stay. Room was lovely, comfortable bed, very clean. The breakfast was lovely. High quality food. As vegetarian I could not fault it. The service was fantastic. Young waitress was very friendly and helpful made us feel completely at home. We would definitely come again.

Great bed and breakfast set over a pub. Room was clean and tidy and everything you'd need for an overnight stay. We had dinner in the pub and it's the only one I've ever visited that does half-portion size meals for those with less of an appetite. Needless to say my fish and chip supper was great!Breakfast the next morning was generous and well done so it set us up for the day. To be recommended.

Nice meal and tasty local beer. The food was very tasty and there was ample on the plate. The music from the bar was a welcome addition. The staff could have been a bit more welcoming and a smile wouldn't have gone amiss. Otherwise I would have given 5⭐.

Amasing place to stay! The rooms were away from the bar! So quite! The shower was so powerful! Loved it! The bedrooms were fine. The bed was so comfortable! The food was great!

Fairly basic but friendly pub with 6 adjacent rooms.The food is off a fairly limited menu, but the meal we had was enjoyable.The room we had, #6, was very spacious. It was clean. The bathroom was also spacious but just had a small shower.The hotel is located in a small village. Other than 2 pubs and a small store, there are just houses for the 500 or so population. So, it's all about what you are after as to whether it's for you.We just stayed one night, it was fine as a stopover.

Just popped in for an evening meal, the jumbo cod with chips and mushy peas were OK. The batter was over cooked, and as such resulted in the cod also being slightly over cooked, the meal then being very greasy to my taste (see photo). I am sure that for some the jumbo cod meal would be great.The service was great and the madri beer was fine, the coors however was not to my personal liking, a little too sweet with a slight aftertaste. This meal was OK, so not worth raising an issue with I must say friendly and attentive staff.
