Maxi nails

I wanted to be fair so I didn’t do 2 stars but the truth is they are overpriced and the customer service isn’t great. They just happen to have a monopoly on nails in the local area but I will probably venture out for better service. Also they don’t accept card payments and even refused a bank transfer which is just archaic. It’s 2023, people don’t carry cash.

I used to love coming to this place, their nails were always good quality and lasted me a very long time. I’m so sad to be writing this, but I booked an appointment for a removal and new set and all i got was a removal even after i said that i need a new set.The person doing my nails was clearly not in the mood to work and was very dismissive of everything. I’ve been doing my nails for over 10 years now and never had any pain while getting them done, until this person was literally drilling everything off. The pain was bordering unbearable. Also, they cut off way too much from my length even after showing how much i want off. I asked for a pointed shape, i got an oval shape. I tried explaining how i wanted them, but the person just said okay and went to do what they wanted.When they finished the removal they just got up and said let them dry, wash your hands and you’re done. I didn’t press further on because they were clearly not in the mood to do what I initially booked, so i just left the salon with bare nails.As i said i’m very sad to write this.. i always had a positive experience here. I always recommend people from the area to go there because I truly was very happy with their service.

The nails are all different shape especially the middle nail (very wonky) and they forgot to put a top coat as the varnish has already damaged in under a week. Not worth the prices

If I could give minus stars I would. They are severely overpriced. Keep changing the prices despite getting the same treatment, depends how they feel that day. Take so long. Different people taking over to do your nails so you don’t have a consistent result. Nails break easily. They are overhyped. Overpriced , rude / speak in Vietnamese saying offensive stuff. I understand because I am half viet and they feel like that because they don’t have direct competition. I hope another nail shop opens on that strip with better prices and service to beat them out the area. Solution—- go to Wood Green, Finchley and palmers green if you want good results , good prices and better customer service!!!! I will never step foot in that place again

I have been a loyal customer of maxi nails for years and I’m always really happy with my nails. However the last three appointments I have left with sore and injured nails. Lee and Jaime on two separate occasions filed my nails while clearly distracted and left me with painful injuries and an infection. No apology. My most recent appointment the lady did my manicure so rough I started bleeding. The attention to detail is no longer there and I will not return.

Finally had my first visit today after finding them online during lockdown earlier this year. The pics on their insta was amazing and they did not disappoint. They are hands down the best nail salon I've been to. Extremely professional, accommodating, from the ease and accessibility of booking appointments to having my nails done. They managed to have me in and out the door within an hour, but the service wasn't rushed. Rather it was promptly and professionally delivered. I don't think I've ever left a hair or nail salon completely happy (yes I'm that 'particular' customer). But I was 100% happy with Maxi Nails. Think I've found my go to nail salon.. thank you Maxi Nails ♥️

Amazing nail salon! Great for mani, pedi, shellac, extensions and nail art. Everyone is always friendly and give a great service. I’ve been going here for a long a time and I love my Halloween nails this month. Thank you!

I came here for the first time ever and what an amazing job they did! Actually my nails have never looked this good. They were very nice and gentle. I had a lady named Jamie and she was amazing! She fixed the mistake the last nail salon did, she did exactly what I wanted, she made my nails look natural even though they are very long. And most of all she didn’t file down my own nail to damage it at all and she was super gentle, not aggressive at all and very friendly. She gave me advice about my nail and what she thinks I should do next time but she said she will check my nail next time and to see if I need to replace my nails or not- I found this very genuine because anyone else would tell me to change it just to make money. But she was very genuine. She values having more costumers than just making money- this was very kind. This was my first time here but definitely will not be my last. I will be visiting again! Thank you for a great experience!

The shape is different for each nail and the french manicure looks like it was done by a child all of them are crooked never coming back, also 45 minutes for a manicure is not enough, they were in a hurry to close the shop so this was the result. I asked for a simple french straight line manicure

Very disappointed with the service. Came in for the first time just over a week ago to get gel manicure and pedicure done. Was told a price for my nails, and only once they started working on me they said that the price has now changed because it's more for French nails. I paid £72 for a set, which is rather overpriced for the service that they provided. The service was painful, they were not being careful when curing my nails, probably because they were rushing as they kept taking on more and more customers. I was bleeding from my cuticles on both hands and feet and my right toe got infected from the wounds. As I was going on holiday the next day, getting into the sea and wearing shoes with little cuts was rather uncomfortable. Not only the service was uncomfortable, the lady that was doing my nails got swapped midway, so of course some of my nails looked different to others. Moreover, the gel came off of two of my nails not even two days after they were done! The rest lasted for most of the week, but that's about it, they're all chipping off now as they painted over my skin too. And I also have so many cuticles peeling now, which never happens and is rather annoying. I would not recommend this place, very unhappy with the service, such a waste of money.
