David has carried out damp and timber surveys two properties for me now - one I was renting out and one I was buying. On each occasion he carried out a through inspection and provided a detailed report with appropriate recommendations which, once carried out, completely solved the issues in each case.I will be seeking his advice on any similar property issues which may arise in the future.Many thanks for professional and timely work - can thoroughly recommend!

Following a laborious assessment of our mortgage application (for nowhere near the full property value), the lender insisted on a physical valuation survey, the report for which stated that a further detailed damp survey was recommended. We contacted the suggested surveyor who arranged for David to attend the property “within 10 days”. As we were being pressurised by both the vendor and the buyer of our current house, we asked the surveyor if they could possibly squeeze in the appointment asap. David agreed to attend on the same day and despite being very busy also responded swiftly to our request for the report for us to submit to the lender. After having a full home buyers report. That came back showing concerns over a damp issue. We were at a state of panic and luckily we were recommended David.He was very polite, reassuring and did all he could to get an appointment with our seller to view the house. We have got a damp patch on an internal wall near the front door. I rang David for some advice. I sent him some photos and he kindly returned my call. I was worried that it was rising damp but after David had looked at the photos he diagnosed the issue as hygroscopic salts in the plaster. David then gave me honest advice as to how to resolve the issue. Many thanks. Just need to find a good plasterer to carry out the work now.

David did a damp survey recently on my property. Due to his survey he advised that I did not have any rising damp. I had been previously advised by a company that I need work done which I now know is unnecessary. David has saved me a few thousand pound due to his knowledge and expertise.

Great service and a detailed report that was easy to understand. A Surveyor had tired to suggest that our house had rising damp, David was able to prove otherwise. He explained each step of the survey he carried out and the equipment he used. He was very open and honest and we would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a damp and timber survey. David is an independent surveyor who isn't aligned to any particular company. We felt his advice was completely impartial.
