Puppy Poppins Dog Training

Brilliant start to socialising and training for our little pup! Barbara has a great way with dogs and controlled the environment so that all the puppies were safe and having lots of fun!

My puppy and I have attended Barbara's 5 week foundation course and I am so pleased with the progress my pup has made.So much so, we are booked to attend the next stage of training with Puppy Poppins.There is a lovely calm and enjoyable atmosphere in the classes and Barbara delivers the instructions so clearly.

Barbara is a fantastic dog trainer and clearly an expert in her field. As first time dog owners, Barbara has made my partner and I feel comfortable asking any question- no matter how stupid! She has helped our puppy to come on leaps and bounds and has taught us as owners how to navigate having a new puppy. He has learnt so much from going to puppy classes as well as having 1-2-1 sessions with Barbara. Her teaching style is calm, controlled and effective! It has been amazing to see how effective positive enforcement behaviour practices can be. Barbara has also been able to advise us on additional things we wouldn’t even think of, such as food and nutrition. I would absolutely recommend Barbara to anyone looking to develop their pup / dog or improve their relationship with their furry friend! We look forward to moving our pup along to the advanced course in the new year and continuing with 1-2-1’s with Barbara. Thanks again for all of your support so far!

Barbara is a brilliant trainer! We had 1-2-1 classes with her for our cheeky 9 month old puppy and she really taught him - and us - a huge amount. You can ask her any question without feeling daft and Barbara was great at going back to basics and giving us lots of confidence in and outside of our home. Our dog was also really pleased and excited to see her - would thoroughly recommend!

Barbara thought us and our puppy so much. We had private lessons to help him to get over fear of everything and after that puppy classes and advanced classes. Charlie is now a different dog. So much more confident and so happy. We can’t thank Barbara enough for all her amazing help.

We have now completed the foundation and advanced puppy classes along with 1-2-1 sessions with Barbara and she has completely changed our lives! We had two very excitable Cockapoos (mum & daughter) and along with the puppy classes for our 6 month old, Willow, Barbara has helped us with mum, Nala, in 1-2-1 sessions. Barbara is just wonderful and there isn't a thing she doesn't know about our beloved best friends, their behaviors and all the training techniques that have led to us now having a super clam home and the confidence to handle and remove all the stressful situations of the past! I have completed both the foundation and advanced classes with Barbara. She is so knowledgeable about all areas of training and has helped greatly with understanding the best ways to cope with different situations such as large groups of dogs, jumping up, recall etc. Barbara is very calm and reassuring both with the dogs themselves and the owners! I contacted Puppy Poppins for support with training our two year old cocker spaniel and to help build my confidence with off-lead walking. Barbara was able to provide us with practical exercises that were achieveable and saw immediate results. Her professional approach meant that after each session we were left with clear action points and areas to practice. Barbara was both caring and sensitive to our dog's needs, but equally understanding and realistic about what we could achieve alongside our family commitments. Her tips and advice were invaulable and she was always on hand to answer further questions and provide follow up support. I would not hesitate to recommend Puppy Poppins to anyone.

Barbara is a great teacher of puppies and their owners. The lessons are well structured and her delivery is clear and professional. She promotes a nice, friendly atmosphere in which the puppies and owners feel comfortable however easy or difficult the puppies are. The lessons progress in a logical way, making the instructions easy to follow and practice at home. The dogs are allowed some time to socialise in an orderly way. There are useful hand outs and Barbara always has time to discuss particular issues. The venue is very good with off road parking and toilet facilities. I would strongly recommend Barbara to dog owners whether this is their first experience of owning a dog or not.

I honestly can’t recommend Barbara highly enough, she has been such a great help. Barbara has given us the tools and confidence we needed to deal with our clever dachshund, we’ve seen such an improvement already. Thank you so much.
