One man show. This is a lady who operates her “salon “from home. I booked with her because I wanted to support someone who used to work in an office and has now build her own business. However, unfortunately I think the owner still has a lot to learn. The surroundings in the salon felt not as clean as I would like them to be, it felt a little bit “manky” and especially walking up to the salon through the corridor I definitely did not have the feel good factor. Given all of that I would have expected cheaper prices, but I ended up paying more than I would have done at my usual salon. One of the treatments she did extremely well, one of the other treatments I was definitely not happy with. I also told her that I was not happy with it and she said she would rectify it, but as many of you will be able to understand once you have had a less positive experience I would have appreciated instead if she had offered me the money back for that one treatment rather than asking me to come and see her again, which is a huge inconvenience for me. You will see the same on Treatwell. Any negative reviews she has commented on that she would’ve rather people took it up with her, well this is all good and well if she did actually offer a reasonable solution. Unfortunately as mentioned I was not happy with one of the treatments and I can see others on Treatwell have had the same experience. I also did not like her attitude when I was speaking to her in person throughout the treatment, but I could see beyond that if the result was good. Sadly I will not be going back, but I do wish the owner all the best for her future career.Addition following the “Response from the owner”:Appreciate the detailed response and I highlight again that I think you have come a long way, I respect your journey and I am delighted for you that it is going well but a lot of what you are saying is simply not true. I have been going to Nude Aesthetics for my Hybrid Extension Lashes for a year and a half now. I was apprehensive at first because I had tried it in the past and did not have a good experience (burning sensation, lashes were too heavy, glue was very visible and would sometimes poke my eye) but because this was recommended by a friend, I decided to give it a go. Sibella took her time to sit with me for a consultation to figure out what I wanted and what style would suit me best. I remember her struggling because I had just done a DIY lash lift and had overdone it. My lashes were curly, looked dead, and were just all over the place. She carefully placed each lash and made sure the style was personalised which I truly appreciated. I have received SO many compliments (even now) and people even assume that they were real because they said it looked natural on me! They are super comfortable (you don’t feel it!), last long, and I have never been this happy with my lashes!The other thing that I appreciate with Sibella as I got to know her over the years is her passion for her craft and her commitment to making herself and her business better. She’s constantly upgrading her knowledge and skills to provide the best service to her clients. She treats her staff well, she gives fellow women the opportunity to excel in their fields and she is just a great boss-lady!As a person, she is much more than a lash tech. She became a confidante, a therapist, a friend and an inspiration. Sibella and her brand symbolises self-care and I always look forward to my monthly sessions with her.
