If I could leave Zero stars I would!I enquired about alterations & found this shop way over the top expensive.Quoted £25 to shorten sleeves on a jacket + other items equally expensive.I had the jacket sleeves altered at another shop for £14 !!!!The Scottish woman who answered the phone was also very rude!

The lady that runs the shop is beyond rude. She made multiple mistakes to my suit trousers and started telling me I’m wrong when I was explaining that I wasn’t happy with them. She then begrudgingly said she’ll put things back to the original condition and refund me on collection. However, I explained that I’ve paid for for the trousers to fit me and they don’t.I picked up the trousers the next day and they were still in an awful condition. Not what I asked for at all.She then said she won’t refund me and once again got angry calling me rude that I was wrong and she doesn’t want to deal with me. I said I’m the customer and don’t appreciate being spoken to like that. She got increasingly frustrated until I sat there saying I’m not leaving until I have my money back. All the jobs she did for me - shortening 2 pairs of trousers, tapering a pair and taking in a waist cost £78 which is more expensive than your average alteration shop (even more reason why the work should be good).Eventually she opened her cash register and threw £20 at me saying never come back.Her customer service was awful and I now need to buy a new pair of trousers as they couldn’t be saved.Please think carefully before visiting.

Would give 0 stars if I could - please avoid here! I had a dress altered in summer which I was charged over £100 for and was not at all happy with the work done but as I am so passive I somehow managed to justify and tell myself it must have been the dress and not her. I stupidly gave this shop another chance as the location is so convenient and this was a simple alteration I needed. The lady charged me SIXTY pounds to turn my bridesmaid dress up which is extortionate if you ask me but I was willing to pay this for a good service. Unfortunately, I collected the dress and part of the dress was missing. I had left the whole dress with her as I’d tried the dress on as a whole to have it pinned by her. She told me she didn’t have the other part of the dress and for me to double check. I called her when I got home after triple checking I didn’t have it (even though I already knew I’d left if with her) and she was extremely rude on the phone telling me she had no use for it and would have a look for it after work and call me (I know from previous experience she won’t call me as she always insists she’ll call when something is ready and doesn’t). I’m astounded someone would be so rude to a customer after their absolutely horrible mistake in losing a part of my dress despite overcharging me. This was a bridesmaid dress for a wedding on Saturday and nearly ruined my friends photos! I’m just so lucky the original dress shop has such brilliant customer service they’re able to send me a replacement with next day delivery. No apology, no remorse and no offer of a discount or even offer to look whilst I was in the shop. Worst experience I’ve ever received from any shop and I urge everyone to avoid this shop.
