So, I’ve used these guys since I started driving, a full quarter-century ago (Jeez, I’m old) - and they continue to be straightforward, cost effective, full of excellent advice and explanations, and accessible to have work done, repairs made, or alterations to any vehicle you can throw at them! They sometimes have a lead-time, but they work you in wherever they can, and without fail they always call to say the vehicle is ready before I expect them to be finished! The fitting is superfluous, neat and considerate, the vehicles are taken great care of, and they’re more than transparent with the pricing. Plus I heard that Gareth is a ninja. That last part may or may not be embellished.

Would not recommend. Brought my vehicle in for an electeical fault with my car not starting. Although they got my car started again they have not been able to tell me exactly what they have done to it and have been very vague as to what has actually been done. Car came back with a loose centre console and juddery brakes, which were not present when they took the car in. Spoke to them about it and they claim they know nothing about it and had not touched the centre console at all. They refuse to accept any responsibility for the faults it now has, which were not present when it was taken into them and also now claim that fuses were missing, which again don't understand how that could be as the car worked fine beforehand and surely missing fuses would have been an issue when I first got the car over a year ago? Car has now broken down again with exactly the same faults it had before, so clearly not fixed and they still refuse to take any responsibility for it so not guaranteed their work either. Seems to me to be another rip off garage that just want to take your money over and over. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Shame as they came highly recommended but have far from lived up to that.

Great guys, very knowledgeable. Couldn't resolve my issue as requires highly specialised manufacturer specific equipment but didn't charge for that conclusion. Will definitely use them for other things though

I took my car to have several faults investigated and repaired. I was fully informed throughout the process both on faults found and items to order. As there were parts required which were tucked away behind several quite delecate internal panels (Porsche build quality is in some ways fragile) I was asked if I wanted the panels refitted after diagnosis or if the area could be left accessible. This reduced the labour cost, further improving value for money. All my electrical issues are now resolved. I have no hesitation in recommending Halstead Auto Electrical and will be using their services again for my wife's car. They have a lockable compound and as you would expect their work is undertaken in a fully equipped and very clean workshop. Thank you so much Garry and your team for your work and information. 5 stars is never given without very good reason in this case it is because unlike my car, this experience has been faultless.

Cannot rate these guys highly enough. Took my car in with an ABS issue. The car had been with another garage for over a week and they were unable to source the problem. Halstead Auto sorted the problem within 24 hours and fitted a new lock to the boot too! Thankyou so much .

Just had a performance remap added to my BMW 520d and WOW!! The results are better than I could have imagined! The throttle response is so much more reactive and can feel the difference in power straight away! Very happy with the results and would highly recommend!!
